It was dark outside when Ciara finally woke up. And the first thing she saw when she opened her eyes, were a pair of dark eyes staring at her. It looks like the eyes have been staring at her for some time.
Seeing Ciara opening her eyes, made Jason happy. His whole face brightened. “You’re awake.”
Ciara ignored him, she also avoided his eyes. Jason reached out to touch her but Ciara jerked away in disgust. “I am exhausted. Please understand that and let me be alone.”
Seeing Ciara’s reaction towards him stung Jason’s heart. But he still reached out, leaning against the bed and he sat down.
“Now that you’re up. I’ll go see if the chicken soup is ready.”
