MOON FESTIVAL.

He laughed at my pain. "Can you see that, if you were not human you could have healed so fast.'

My blood kept dripping out of my arm as I sobbed, Lyulph wrapped his hand around my arm and touched my injury without looking at me as I sobbed.

'I am also the finest Alpha, leave my sister to me and let me handle her the way I know best, you didn't have to f*****g hurt her like that.'

He was furious.

"Then, you know what you have to do to appease my anger.' My father laughed out evilly and my mother did nothing but wept bitterly as she ran over to me and hugged me, turning to my father.

"Please don't hurt these kids, I beg of you.'

"They are my children and I will do with them as I please, after all, they need to be the best of the best, I don't have time for patience, I've been patient enough these past few years trying to give her time." He laughed. "Lyulph, you know what to do or else, I will take her into the torture room and do with her as I please.'

He was so evil, I pulled away from my mother and kneeled in front of my father with blood rushing out of my arm making my eyes dizzy in the process.

"Please, don't do anything to Lyulph, I beg of you…" Lyulph pulled me from his sight and pushed me to my mother.

"Stay put.' he strongly instructed and followed my father to the dark room and shut the door behind him.

I could hear chains, wire entangled with a chain, his footsteps as he lashed Lyulph with it, I screamed, cried and begged Father to leave Lyulph who was in so much pain I could feel what he was going through.

"Please take me instead, Lyulph doesn't deserve this, he didn't fail the exams I did. I was the one who got bullied at school, please leave him out of these, he has nothing to do with it. Please FATHER, leave him, I will be stronger next time, I promise to beat that Alpha.' I screamed over and over again, banging the door with all my strength, I cried so bitterly and used my forehead to hit the door and collapsed.

"Lycandra.' my mother yelled after me and everything blacked out.

I woke up the next morning with a headache. I saw the maids rubbing and massaging my body from the pain Inflicted from my father, then I recalled what happened yesterday after looking at the time on my wall clock.

I ran out of the bed in my nightwear and dashed to Lyulph's room. I tried to open the door but it was locked. I sniffed his scent and knew he was in there.

"Please Lyulph, answer me, I want to see you. Don't ignore me, please.' I begged and the memories of what happened yesterday made me shed tears. I began pleading with him again. "Please Lyulph, don't go away from me. I don't know what I will ever do without you, you are all I have, I will take your burden, all of it from now on, please let me see you.'

Abruptly, the door opened but I couldn't see his face, so I tried to get into the room to see him but he stopped me.

"Stop right there.' His voice was raspy, I held back my tears and obeyed him, looking down at my feet, I didn't want to offend him any further.

"Be ready for the moon festival, so you can come across your mate, that way you would be able to shift into your wolf form or I will force you myself, don't disappoint me."

He slammed the door and locked it shut. No matter how I beseech him and cried out to him, he turned deaf ears to my pleas and shut me out.

And for the next few days, I couldn't go to school because my brother was still inside the room. How could I go to school and leave him like that? I just can't do it. It would break my heart, I have suffered enough because of my father and Lyulph is the one who's always taking my pain away from me.

He never lets me suffer, he always takes my side, no matter how rude and cold he is to me, he protects me in the end. I love him so much and no one has ever stood up for him like he does, he always fights for me no matter how hectic the battle is going to be, he faces it and while I get scared and scream like some lost puppy and even make an attempt to run away but he stays and fights by my side.

It has always been this way, since we were kids, he would stand alongside me and protect me from the rogues who wanted to attack me to get back at my father.

I can't do without Lyulph, I just can't do without him, if anything happens to him, I will never forgive myself.

If my father kills him, I will tear down the whole world and make everyone suffer. I couldn't eat or drink water because I haven't seen Lyulph yet, but got a message from him that he was alright that I should eat but I didn't see him until on the day of the moon festival where I was to make an encounter with my mate.

A mate I knew nothing about was going to be my husband for the rest of my life.

It felt weird and awkward.

What I kept getting worried about was Lyulph and I haven't seen him for a while, I hope he will be coming as well to see him.

Come to think of it, what if he makes an encounter with his fated mate, what should I do? What if he leaves me and I never see him again because he's got a mate with him?
