In less than a day, Eryx had gone from thinking Leander might murder him to trusting him enough to let him modify base programs. He wondered whether he was having a crisis of sorts, but didn’t care to think about it overmuch, not when there were other things with which to concern himself. “Found it,” he said, waiting for Leander to confirm he’d isolated the location of the interference generator. The smuggler checked, nodded. “Probably where their ship set down, too.” “Can you disable it?” “Enough to postpone them, or permanently?” “Doesn’t matter to me,” said Eryx, shrugging. “There’s probably some essential parts there I could use. Requires hauling ass through the storm, though.” “Which will be less of a problem with GPS back online. And you’ll have me. Pairs aren’t so dangerous.”
