Asher Beau was quiet throughout dinner. When he stood abruptly and left to go for a run, I began to worry he was falling apart. His emotions were warring inside him. I could feel them loud and clear through the bond we shared. It seems I wasn’t the only one because Alec offered to join him for a run. It helped my worry slightly, but the gnawing feeling that something was amiss lingered. “Is everything okay with Beau?” Addy asked, her eyebrows knitted together. I smiled gently at her. “Can’t you feel him?” I asked her. I wasn’t being condescending, I was just curious.
