I push him off of me just as Mr. Flynn and Lee run in. "What the hell is going on?" Mr. Flynn untied my dad. Then my dad looks at me gets up and pulls me into his arms. We both cry and cling to each other. Mr. Flynn looks at me and says, Oh Elle, did he do that to you," and I look down and say "yes." I am shocked I quickly close the robe, and Mr. Flynn says, "I will call the police you get dressed Elle and you go get some coffee and calm down. Afterward, we need to hear everything got it." "got it" Mr. Flynn calls his wife and tells her to bring Brad over. While we wait for the police, I tell all of them everything.
The police arrive at the same time as the ambulance. The paramedics refused the detectives an interview and rushed me to the hospital. I wasn't released until 10 am the next morning. They had counted 60 fresh burn marks on me. When I got back, June insisted on feeding all of us before heading home. Lee refused to leave my side; he kept mumbling I will kill him. I look at him and ask what he says nothing it is nothing.
I was sitting there talking to the detective that day at 5 pm. It turns out I kept drifting in and out of sleep all day, and they were giving me time, plus they took the time to interview my dad and Brad while I was out. After I finished giving my statement and said, pictures were taken at the hospital. The detective assured my dad I would not be charged. I was standing in the kitchen holding Brad When I hear "NO Not my Shelly Please NO" Noah runs and hasn't seen me I hear him ask "Mr. Evans please tell me she's o.k." "see for yourself" I am standing there just looking at him. I couldn't stop myself I ran and threw myself in his arms and collapsed "please tell me you will let me explain please " "You don't have to Tuppen told me everything about last night" "I hate that you put yourself through this to save my Lil' bro Shelly but thank you" "I did it for you as well losing Lee would have killed you" "I love you Noah and I always will" "I love you too Shelly"
They had just finished cleaning everything up when I met Jason, and he apologized for what his brother did to me, but I told him it wasn't his fault. He was able to see his brother one last time before they took him out of the house and he looked at me and said, "I will miss my brother I can't help it. I still love him, but I am so glad you are O.K., and he can't hurt anyone else again. You are one brave little lady. Noah is lucky to have you" "thank you, Jason, are you staying" "nope, I am going back to school leave you two alone for a few days bye." With that, Jason left.
Lee comes in and looks at us and says oops hey bro ignore my last text.
