Chapter Ten Escape “Carol!” “Carol. Wake up, it’s me.” The voice was a whisper and seemed a long ways off. Carol shook her head and tried to see where the voice was coming from. She saw nothing but darkness. Her head was still enclosed in the hood, but she was hearing Sherry’s voice in the distance. She moaned, tried to speak, and realized that she was still gagged. “Carol, if you can hear me, make some noise. Do something so I know it’s you. I can’t move.
