CHAPTER 5
MARIAN’S POV
“I wasn’t expecting you this early,” My boyfriend Noah groaned and tossed in bed squinting his eyes as soon as I switched on the lights.
“I told you I could handle him but you did not want to believe me,” I stuttered shoving my heels in the air in jubilation.
“My bad ass baby, come here,” He stretched his hand for me to join him in bed and I took a moment to quickly slip out of the dress. It was kind of a long day to me, moving around with heels was not my cup of tea. I was used to flats since in jail we did not dress out for dates or whatever it is I had with Nelson.
“I missed you,” Noah tickled me as soon as I joined him in bed.
“I missed you too,” I was on top of him drawing circles on his well sculptured chest.
“Your lipstick is kind of faded, did you make out with him?” He implored with a hazy tone.
“No, we just had a drink and I was brave enough to ensure that he had gotten to know of my place.” I proudly narrated.
“You are a badass baby,” He grinned at me and I got comfortable placing my head on his chest and the two of us stared at the ceiling for some time.
I had a roommate back in prison who was in for a life sentence for killing a toddler in a robbery. My roomate was Nicole Gray. She was the sister to Noah Grey and that is how I had gotten to know him. Noah had also taken part in the robbery but the elder sister, Nichole took it upon herself to cover up for his younger brother.
Noah was jailed for Six years because he took part in the robbery and after he was released, he come frequently to see his sister in jail.
Nichole tried everything she could to hook us up and it reached a time when Noah could come, I could go ahead and meet him. He was good to me and when he finally got to ask me to be his girlfriend, I said yes a thousand times.
The first instinct after being released from jail was to hit him up and he was kind enough to book me a house at Elegance hotel, before I could finally find my niche in the city. My parents had long disowned me for killing my cousin and I knew it would take me time to convince them otherwise. I was innocent but the Walker family tainted my name. I was going to carry out my revenge on them and they would regret ever doing that to me.
“I want you tonight baby,” Noah embraced me in his muscly arms. He then parted my hair as I angled my neck to look at him.
“I am afraid baby, it is still painful but I promise to be ready sooner,” I excused myself. He broke my virginity two days ago and the immense pain never seemed to be fading away. My nerves were sensitized and I was just waiting for everything to be calm down there. I know it is not supposed to be this painful. I assume that Noah is used to having it rough like his rough lifestyle.
Anyway I am not discoursed, I just hope all will be well and I can enjoy my orgasms with him. I went to jail at sixteen and left there as this full grown woman. I failed to grow as a normal person because of something I did not do. The thought of this just radiated anger through me.
“I will mess with him love, I will!” I said through gritted teeth.
“It is okay baby, calm down,” He reassured me.
“They killed my cousin and blamed me for it,” I muttered despite the relentless ramming of my heart against my own ribcage.
“We will take them down together baby,” He announced running his hands through my hair to calm me down.
“Really?” Just the thought of him helping me meted my heart. He was a bad boy and a true gangster and if he was offering me help, then this revenge plan could be a success.
“Of course baby,” His voice vibrated.
“I love you Noah, thanks for sticking by my side, you are the best,” I confessed without realizing tears were falling freely from my eyes till he wiped them away.
“I love you too Marian, together forever baby,” He promised and kissed me on the forehead.
His gaze met mine and he leaned close enough and our nose touched. His soft lips pressed against mine leaving this sweet tingles floating through my body making me ecstatic.
“Goodnight baby, sweet dreams,” He paused the kiss and I lay by his side in that long night.
THE NEXT MORNING
The constant knocks on the door disrupted my sleep and I was first of all shocked to find Noah was not in the bed with me. I shoved the white duvets aside, got out of bed and pulled on a white shirt from the cloths I had thrifted previously in Ngara market.
I kept wondering why Noah could surprise me like that yet he knows of how I value my sleep. I had most sleepless nights in jail and to date, I just put my sleep before everything else.
I kept hoping that the surprise he was staging or whatever it is that he wanted to show to me was worth it.
I walked hurriedly to the door not caring to wear shorts under the t-shirt and swung the door open.
I almost dropped dead when I saw Nelson Walker standing on the doorway.
