Chapter 10

Cheyenne’s P.O.V

  The next day I woke up and seeing as it was my day off I decided to spend it watching TV and snacking all day. I got out of bed and walked downstairs to the kitchen to get my snacks. I raided the cupboards and fridges and got chips, dip, cookies, candy bars and a bunch of other stuff, including sodas and water. I carried everything back upstairs and placed it all down on the nightstand, ready for later. I went to the bathroom and took a long hot shower, getting all the hairspray out of my hair and off of my face, then got out, dried off and went back into the bedroom. I decided to be lazy today and just grabbed my favourite long t-shirt and put it on, this was the one I always wore when I was going to have a day like this, just hanging out in my room, chilling and snacking all day. I grabbed my laptop and put the TV on, getting back into bed. I grabbed the chips and dip and started watching a movie called Venom. I was looking on my laptop, searching for things to buy since I had saved a lot of money. I wanted to get a few things. I hadn't even clicked on the first item when there was a knock at the door, making me roll my eyes and sigh. I was hoping I could spend some time alone by myself but that was a lost cause.

  “Come in Mercury, I already know it's you. I don't even know why you bother knocking.” I shouted out, eating another chip. I saw the jacket I wanted, it was a blue jean jacket I have been wanting for a while now and it was my lucky day because it was on sale at $98.00. I clicked on it and bought it just as Mercury opened the door and by the look on his face he was all business.

  “I came here to say that if you ever lock your bedroom door again, I'll take your door down. Second, if you're not busy I want you downstairs in twenty minutes. We’re going for a ride somewhere, dress nice jeans and a nice shirt. Third, why do you have all this food up here, the TV on and you're not even watching it? Your on your laptop.” Mercury said and I waited until he was finished before I spoke.

  “First, it's my day off from work and I want to spend it like this, with food and my laptop. I don't always have to go and if you ever take down my door I'll just go to another room. I'm not your servant, yeah you bought me because my so called dad was in debt to you, but consider the debt paid off seeing as you killed him. I'm a guest until you decide to throw me out. Last of all, do not ever talk to me like I am a child, I'm tired of how you talk to me, so if I'm going to work for you then you can give me a paycheck.” I replied and he just looked like he was stunned by what I said.

  “I thought since it was your day off you would like to go for a ride, we don't have any business it would just be a joy ride. You’re not working for me and this is your home, you're not a guest and I'm not kicking you out because you are family now, especially after you punched my ex out. You are officially one of us, you will learn our life and the way we live. You will also move your things into my room.” Mercury said and I agreed with everything he said up until the last part. I liked having my own room, not having to share my bed with anyone and I could walk around naked or do whatever else I wanted to do in my room.

  “You had me up until you said that I had to move my things into your room. I like having my own room and besides we haven't even talked about being together, don't you think we should talk about this before you make a decision? It should be both our decision, you should know that I don't like being bullied. Now, if you want to spend time with me then come over here, sit in the bed and let's watch a movie, maybe take a nap or play on the computer. Take it easy, you can take a break from being a mob boss for a day, can’t you?” I replied, he stayed silent and looked like he was thinking for a moment before coming over and sitting next to me on the bed, relaxing.

  “So, what are you watching?” Mercury asked, looking at the TV.

  “Gone In Sixty Seconds, there were some nice cars in this movie, especially the Shelby Mustang GT 500.” I replied and he nodded, agreeing with me. Mercury watched the movie while I played on my laptop, I wanted to get a bigger bed, but all the beds I saw were way too expensive. I played a few games and then got bored, so I put my laptop up and looked over at Mercury, who was sound asleep. I shrugged and thought to myself why not, I laid down on my side and fell asleep. This was the day I wanted, nothing but relaxing and sleep. I don't know how long I was asleep, but I felt relaxed and when I woke up I turned over but Mercury wasn't there. I sat up and saw that he had left me a note on the pillow.

Had to take care of something, be back in a few. Enjoy the rest of your day off.

Mercury.

  “Okay, if you say so.” I said to myself and got out of bed. I got dressed and walked downstairs, deciding to explore the house and everything in it. I walked around the house and discovered that there was a gym, that's something I could do, I thought to myself. I wanted to work on my arms and legs today, I walked inside and it was a good thing I was already wearing shorts, saving me having to go back and change. I walked over to the leg machine first and put forty pounds of weights on it then sat down and started doing my legs. Thirty minutes later and I was huffing and puffing, but I was done. I got off the leg machine and then went over to the arm machine, it looked like bungee cords. I grabbed them and started working on my arms, just like my legs, I did thirty minutes and then stopped. I walked out of the gym deciding that i was going to come here at least three times a week, that way i can keep fit. I liked it here, but I was all sticky and sweaty now, the only thing I wanted was a nice long hot bath. Maybe Mercury would be back after my bath, if not then at least I will have more time for myself. I got back in my room and stripped my sweaty clothes off, going into the bathroom and turning the water on in the tub. I waited for it to fill and then got in, laying my head back. I started to relax, letting the steamy water soak over my body and I hadn't even realised I had fallen asleep until I felt someone rubbing my shoulders, making me wake up and jump.

  “What time is it?” I said, turning to see Mercury watching me.

  “Well, the water is getting cold so I would say that you've been in here for a while.” Mercury replied and he was right. I got up and he handed me the towel he was holding, so I could wrap it around me.

  “So, you kill anyone tonight?” I asked and he rolled his eyes at me.

  “I dont always kill people, I collect debts, go meet friends and take who we need to collect from and if they need help. Sometimes we go to strip clubs or regular clubs, I own a few, so I have to go and check things out, maybe break a few bones, and collect money.” Mercury replied, this time making me roll my eyes as I dried off and got dressed.

  “Do you always have to break bones?” I asked, maybe there was a less violent way of doing things.

  “Would you rather me let them owe me money and over power me?” Mercury said and I shook my head no.

  “Okay then, I’m the boss and there isn't anyone who is going to overpower me. By the way we’re going to one of my clubs tomorrow night, so be ready in the morning and I'll take you shopping for club clothes. I want you to see what I do, if you're going to trust me and we can get to know each other more then maybe you can show me some dance moves.” Mercury said and I rolled my eyes, sighing.

  “What time do I need to be ready?” I asked, lying down in bed as he took his shoes off and sat on the other side of the bed.

  “Well, since I'm too tired to walk back to my room I'll be sleeping in here tonight, so I’ll wake you up.” Mercury replied, taking off his shirt and pants, leaving him in just his boxers.

  “We have the whole day to shop, so if you're wanting anything you can get it.” Mercury said and I nodded as he got into bed beside me. I’m not sure what I’ll want tomorrow, but I do want a mini fridge to put all my snacks and drinks in, maybe I can get one of them tomorrow. Mercury finally laid down and I turned on my side, I still felt a little sore from my work out earlier, but hopefully a good night's sleep will put me right. Mercury wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him as we both drifted off to sleep.

  Unknown’s P.O.V

  “Did you see her tonight? He claims that she is going to be his Luna, if he marks her he will be more powerful.” I said.

  “I don't know, I haven't seen her yet, but he told me he is bringing her here tomorrow night. We’ll see if she can handle our bitches.” Donnie replied, laughing.

  “I'll bring the meanest, we’ll see how she holds up to her.” I said, laughing evilly.
