20. master and servant

Sasha pov. My private lessons stretched for six hours every day. It was draining and I couldn’t wait to finally be able to finish this for good and get on with my life. And I am certain that I don’t want Killian to be part of it. Not as long as he remains as that conceited asshole.  I stared through the window and at the open balcony where I had watched the handsome human today. Oh he was so dreamy. And I could confidently say that he was not arrogant like Killian. I small smile curved my lips while I was lost in his thoughts.  “Your highness.....your highness?” my teacher’s voice caught my attention.  “H...huh?” She chuckled. “I have been calling you for some time, your majesty. Something seems to be bothering you.” She stated, her piercing blue eyes studied my face, which I was certain was now flushed. Suddenly she frowned and placed the palm of her hand on my forehead.  “Are you feeling ok?” she asked, now sounding worried.  “Umm... Yes. Actually....” I started to stammer, suddenly feeling concerned. What if she finds out about what I was thinking about? She continued to study my face as I tried my best to avoid her gaze. “I....uh ...” I didn’t know what to say. I felt little beads of sweat form on my body as I stressed over it. “I think you need some rest. Maybe you are overworking your highness.” She finally stated and started to gather her belongings to my relief. Letting out a deep breath, I smiled at my teacher who always had a kind smile pasted on her face. She gracefully picked up her books and files before facing me. “It is ok. We will continue tomorrow. We have been working with no off days for a whole month, I think you deserve to take a little break.” She smiled and left, the soft fabric of her gown swayed in the air as she walked briskly out of the door. Feeling relieved that she didn’t try to find out what was bothering me, I walked to my bed and slumped on the mattress.  She was such a sweet teacher. She gave me a break. But now what could I do? All I could think of was that attractive human being. The way he moved. The way he handled the scissors. Today, I had seen him shirtless and oh God, I couldn’t think of anything else.  But what was his name? I didn’t even know his name. Maybe I could ask him. Or at least talk to him. Say something.... No. I shouldn’t. What would the people think if they found out? What would mommy and daddy say? And what would he be thinking?  I spent some time, lying on my bed, contemplating. But in the end, I just had to do it. At least try to see him or catch a glimpse of him.  I ran downstairs for dinner. It was a good thing that I still get to eat dinner with my family. And perhaps I would catch a glimpse of that human too. Though he no longer cooked for us, he still came to set the table.  I chuckled at my heart’s desire. It was so strange and stupid that I was craving to catch even a glimpse of him while we never really spoke. He had always been very obedient and respectful and I found that very attractive.  Maybe I could get to know him a little better? But would it be ok? When I entered the dining room, I was in luck. The human was setting the table. When he noticed me at the door, he turned towards me and bowed in respect.  “Umm....Mom and dad had not come yet?” I asked fully knowing that they wouldn’t be here for another half an hour. Honestly, I just wanted to talk to him.  “Yes, your highness.” He replied humbly and walked back to the kitchen, I guess to get some more dishes.  Aaargh! What was I doing? Why the hell were my heart racing and thudding like crazy in my chest? And not to mention my sweaty palms and uneven breaths. He most probably was not even interested in speaking with me.  Pouting to myself I decided to go and sit on the couch and wait for the others. I shouldn’t have come here this early. But I just couldn’t help it. All I could think of was this fine human. Even throughout my lessons, my mind kept drifting back to how he had poured water over himself in the garden. I felt as though I could see his fit abs and bare chest right in front of me. My teacher had noticed that I was spacing off a couple of times today. It was a good thing that my teacher was kind enough to end my classes early today because she thought that I was not feeling well.  Darn it! I had come here hoping to see him and talk to him. Perhaps ask his name, but why is this so damn hard?  “Ouch!!!!’ I screamed when my little toe hit the side of a chair. But then, I bit my lips and tried not to make a lot of noise. It was just a little bump. I could heal it anyway. I looked at my throbbing little toe and groaned internally. I swear to God that the function of this little toe is to ensure that every piece of furniture is in its place.  I started to limp towards the couch which was a short distance from where I stood. For me to heal it, I need to sit down comfortably and concentrate on it. “Your majesty!” I heard the human gasp and his hasty steps approach me. “What happened? Are you hurt?” he questioned. I looked at his icy blue eyes which were now laced with concern. He seemed to be nervously running his hand through the wavy dark hair strands.  My throat went dry.  Oh Good lord. Why did he have to look so good even when he was worried? “Your highness, I am at your service.” He bowed in respect when he noticed my stare.  I ran my tongue over my dried lips and gulped.  “Uh... Yes. Actually...I. I hit my toe on a piece of furniture. Nothing big.” I told him.  “May I help you?” he asked, surprising me.  How was a human going to help me? However, all that my stunned body could do was nod. He lifted me and carried me towards the couch I was going to sit on and I just stared at him, mesmerised by him. Suddenly, I started to wish that the couch was located further away. It felt so good to be carried. He sure had strong arms and I loved it.  “Here you go, your highness.”  He gently made me sit down on the couch and whispered in a soft voice. Oh, his voice was husky and it made a shiver go down my spine. I felt my cheeks heat up as the blood rushed to my cheeks.  “Thanks.” I managed to squeak. But then I quickly cleared my throat hoping that he had not noticed my blush or how my voice had sounded and bent down to place my hand over my aching toe to heal it.  “WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU DOING?”  Killian’s loud voice boomed across the dining room, making it echo. I heard the human gasp and felt him shudder beside me. I glanced at the doorway, where Killian was seething in anger. He didn’t look like he was looking for an explanation when he stomped towards us and punched the handsome human right in the face, making him stagger backwards.  “Killian!” I screamed but he wasn’t listening to me. He continued to punch and kick the poor guy. When I saw signs of a crimson red liquid on his face, I just couldn’t hold back anymore. “Status!”  I screamed and Killian was now frozen with his right hand already prepared to land another punch on the poor guy’s face while the latter had his hands raised to protect it from getting hurt more. I pointed my forefinger at him and placed both men at a safe distance before unfreezing them. “Are you out of your mind Killian?” I asked, clearly crossed at his behaviour.  “He had hurt you. I saw him bending over and...”  “Shut up, you crazy lunatic.” I hissed.  “He didn’t hurt me. I hit my foot and he was trying to help!” I screamed.  Killian now looked confused.  “But you wouldn’t need help would you?” he muttered.  “Ha! Maybe that is the difference between an emotionless freak like you and a human who has a beautiful heart.” I retorted.  Suddenly Killian’s demeanour changed from a slightly shocked one to utter fury.  “You.....you think he has a beautiful heart. Why you.....” he growled, but I wasn’t having any of it. “And if you do anything” I shook my pointing finger in his face. “I will tell everyone that you tried to force yourself on me in my room today,” I warned in a silent whisper, that would be audible to those present in the room.  Killian grew silent and without a word, he left. Shaking my head, I hastened to help the human, who was now struggling to stand up, as he wiped off his bloody nose. I felt bad for him. This was the second time his nose was busted after he had come here.  “I’m so sorry about that,” I told him and place my hand on his injured face and started to heal him.  I saw his eyes studying mine as I sat beside him. I suddenly felt as if I was being pulled into a daze. His eyes were so captivating. I quickly averted my gaze breaking the eye contact but then, my eyes landed right on his soft lips.  “Thank you majesty.”  His deep husky voice made me realise that he was now healed. Nervously giggling, I removed my hand and smiled.  “What is your name?” I asked shyly.  “Draco.”  He replied and stood up to continue with his work.  “Well thank you, Draco. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.” I stated. If I didn’t say it now, I most probably would never be able to. He blinked and stared at me as if I was speaking in another language as if he didn’t know what I was talking about.  “You helped me come to sit.” I reminded him.  “It is my pleasure and duty to serve you, your majesty. And I must thank you for saving me numerous times, your highness. I owe my life to you.” He replied with a slight bow and disappeared into the kitchen. I stared at his retreating back, wishing that the relationship between me and Draco was not that of master and servant.
