Ronan’s POV
I hated sending Varon to go get Callie. I know that he is a strong warrior, but I don’t think he is aware of the plotting that has already begun against her. I overheard a conversation in the hallway before they saw me coming and stopped talking. They know that Kano’s youngest child is set to be arriving tomorrow. It is not a secret anymore. I suspect that Doris and Mariela are the main culprits behind the announcement running rampant around the kingdom.
