Chapter 3: Meeting the Village Chief

[Moments Before]
Leaving no other choice Kurohito crafts a boat and is ready to ride down the waterfall. He also thinks of jumping on the water directly but is scared so he uses a boat.
"Well here goes nothing..."
Kurohito says and pops in his boat and starts riding down the waterfall...
"Ohh... it's working, my plans is working..."
"I can get down like this, way faster than walking..."
He says in excited voice as his plan is going accordingly.
"Wooohoooo..."
"I'll the reach the village in no time now..."
He shouts in excitement.
But when he thought everything is going smoothly...
He crashes the boat, the boat breaks, and now he's free falling down the waterfall.
"Ahhhhhhhhh..."
Screaming from top of this lungs...
"I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die..."
"no..no..no..no..no..no.."
He is screaming as he's falling, then...
!!!...S P L A S H...!!!
He lands on water...
"Ouch!... I'm fine because of the water... I guess I could've just jumped down..."
He's fine, now he's swimming in the water. Slowly swimming towards the land. When he hears something...?
"Ohhhh great waterfall please spare our lives"
"Ohhhh great waterfall please spare our lives"
He seemed confused and wondered what that sound is...
"What? what's that... is it the villagers that's chanting this... but why?"
"What's going on..."
He tried approaching the sound... as he couldn't see because it had turned night.
As he tried approaching closer, the voices stopped. So he shouts...
"HELLO! ARE YOU A VILLAGER?..."
"IS ANYONE THERE... SOMEONE... PLEASE RESPOND..."
He shouted, he hadn't spoken to anyone for a while so he doesn't realise how loud his voice is.
"Please don't kill us..."
He got a response back, in a quiet shivering voice.
"I Won't, I'm Not A Threat..."
He said, hoping they would show themselves...
"Now could you show yourself... because I can't see where you are..."
He tried to lower his tone, and tries to convey that he's not a threat...
The villagers realised, he doesn't seem like a threat or an enemy, so they introduced themselves.
"Hmmmm... my name is Kayo..."
villager hastily walks up to him...
"And my name is Akiho... hmmmm..."
Villager pops up from his back...
"Hmmmm... are you a Player..."
Kayo asks...
"Are you?... are you... are you here to save us from those Pillagers..."
Akiho asks, as his eyes slowly turns like glitter...
"What...? Pillagers, isn't that the mob that starts a raid in villages..."
Kurohito wonders...
"So will you... hmmm... save us from the Pillagers..."
Kayo asks again, with both the villagers looking with sparkly eyes...
Kurohito seems to be pressured into saying yes...
"I can help them fight off Pillagers... but do I want to do it..."
"I mean do I even have anything to do other than that..."
"It won't hurt to help them I guess... and maybe in the process I'll find some clue about this world..."
Kurohito thinks, while making a hesitant face...
He looks towards the villagers, and gets blinded by their sparkly eyes. And agrees into helping them...
"Fine... fine... I'll help you..."
"I'll do something to fend off those Pillagers..."
"Now you can stop looking with those sparkly eyes..."
Hesitant yet still willing to help... thinking he might find some clues doing it.
With that villagers celebrate with joy, as they now have a Hero to protect their village. So they pick him up and carry him to meet the village chief.
"Hoooory... hoooory... we found a Player for our village."
"Hoooory... our village will be saved now..."
But when this was happening a GUI pops up. This time it was a GUI he never saw before. Because it said "QUEST 1 ACTIVE: DEFEAT THE PILLAGER CAPTAIN"
He seemed confused, because he doesn't remember Minecraft having Quests
(GUI POP UP) QUEST 1 ACTIVE:
SAVE THE VILLAGERS FROM PILLAGERS
"Huh... what is this, a quest? but Minecraft didn't have any quest systems..."
"Is this a new feature that got added after I stopped playing..? maybe???"
"Or is this only for this world..."
Trying to investigate further, he says...
"Show Quest Board"
And a GUI pops up displaying all the Quests. There are total 5 quest. With a progress bar.
And at the bottom of the GUI in fine texts it read.
"Finish all the Quest to escape this world"
"Huh.."
Kurohito gets surprised as he found a way to get out. But is this really true...??
"Huh... so if finish all the Quest I can get out..."
He gets excited... and happy...
"Is this true?? so I just have to do some quests to get back in my real world..."
"This seems easy enough..."
Kurohito thinks... not knowing what other quests he might have to do in the future...
"So I should properly help this village to complete this quest"
"Maybe I'll even get some rewards doing it..."
He seemed a little hesitant to help the villagers at first, but now that he knows he can get back to his world he agrees to helping the villagers.
Kurohito is being carried through the Village by those two villagers. He notices just how big this village really is. This is not a ordinary sized Village, and the architecture of the houses are also different. To simply describe it, it feels more like an RPG Village than a Minecraft village.
Unlike Minecraft villages this village has a proper design. Roads are build with cobblestone, houses seem to much bigger and have a second floor. There are market where goods are being sold, he even notices restaurant and inns in this village.
The roads were light up with 'Sea Lanterns' and didn't seemed that dark.
He sees lots of new buildings around here like the one he's being carried to the 'Village Centre Building'.
As the name implies this building is built right in the centre. This building may be the biggest in this village. And it's architecture is quite unique and impressive. He also notices some Villagers holding weapons standing infront of this building.
As if there were guarding this building, like guard villagers. Entering this building he realised how different this world looks now to him.
All these villagers feel so real, and not some dumb NPCs who can't even walk over carpet.
The villager carried Kurohito to the Village Centre Building. Which was guarded by village guards. Then Kayo says something to one of the guard and the guards let them through.
Then they hastily take him to meet the 'Village Chief' who was in the upper room, sitting and looking out the window while sipping Tea.
They slam the door open and shout.
"Chief... Chief... Chief..."
The village chief gets startled and looks towards the door...
"Chief... we.. found... we... found a Player..."
"Now our... village will be saved..."
Akiho and Kayo both say at the same time... while heavily breathing as they're out of breath carrying Kurohito here. But they were very excited to slow down...
"Calm down both of you and take same breath..."
The Village Chief replied. The village chief was an old man around 80 years of age, who's face is filled with wrinkles his eyes are hard to tell if it's open or not. And he always carried a walking cane around.
"And only one of you explain to me what you mean?"
"What are you talking about..."
They both take deep breaths... Kayo & Akiho both look at each other's eyes, Kayo giving a nod to Akiho to explain things...
Akiho walks forward and speaks..."
"Village Chief, we found the Player..."
"And the Player is willing to help this village from those Pillagers..."
"Now... Now our village will be saved..."
"Here see... he's the Player I'm talking about."
"Look it's really a player..."
Pointing towards Kurohito.
"See this young man here, he's a Player... and he says he'll save this village..."
Akiho explained the situation...
The Village Chief lost for words gets emotional, he gets up from his chair and walks towards Kurohito and kneels down Infront of him and says...
"Thank you... thank you... Young man... with your help we can fend off those Pillagers"
The chief looked happy... so happy tears were flowing from his eyes. It looked as if had lost all his hope for saving this village but now there's a ray of hope.
"Young Man, my name is Kirisei, and I'm the Chief of this village..."
But Kurohito seemed surprised as why do they need his help. The village looked far more developed than he imagined. The village guards seemed strong, strong enough to defeat the Pillagers. So he asks some questions to clear his doubts..
"While I was being carried here, I noticed lots of guards, and they seemed pretty strong. Are they unable to defeat the Pillagers?..."
"How strong are the Pillagers?..."
He looked in the Chief's eyes and spoke.
"And why are you all referring me as a Player... And how do you what a Player is?..."
The villagers Chief laughed at him, a soft laugh that wiped his tears...
"Ha.. ha.. ha... you seemed to have lots of questions for me..."
"but I'll answer them..."
A wise laugh he gave...
He explained how he knows about the Player. He explained that a legend is passed through generations, a Legend where it says "When this village will in disaster, suffering, unable to do anything. A Young Man wearing Light blue T-shirt and a Dark Blue pants will come to protect it"
"The Young Man is known as a Player. Who has enough strength to kill a dragon with a stick and a mind intelligent enough to make the reddust glow. This man will save the village from a disaster."
"And it appears that you're wearing the same exact outfit described in those legends..."
The Old chief, said as he look in his eyes... as the Chief's eyes were filled with hope...
"In the Legends? you say..."
Kurohito said, as he's unaware of any legends.
"Well enough about that..."
The Old chief said...
"You, You must be tired travelling from so far.. you must take some rest.. we'll talk about this tomorrow..."
"Go have some rests..."
"Kayo, Akiho take this man to the Guest room... where he can rest."
Chief orders...
"Yes! hmmmm... yes we'll take him there... leave it to us..."
Kayo & Akiho replied while bowing to the chief, then doing what he ordered.
Both of them take Kurohito to the Guest room in the Village Centre.
...
"So, why does this building have a guest room, and I also saw Inn in this village.."
"It's not like anyone visits right?..."
Kurohito asks those two... he felt conflicted as seeing things that are not Ordinary, at this point he just stops comparing Minecraft with this world, it's still undoubtedly Minecraft but not the one he remembered.
In which Kayo & Akiho both look at each other in confusion... and Kayo asks...
"Hmmmm... what do you mean, there are Inns' and guest houses because villagers from other villages visit here."
"Hmmmm... Other villages also have Inns' and guest houses for the same reason."
Kurohito stares at them dumbfounded...
"WHAT???"
"Other villagers visit here..."
"So that means there are more villages nearby... wait villagers can travel???"
"What is this Minecraft 2.0 or something"
Kurohito thought... while making a dumbfounded face.
And both villager stared at him whispering to each other.
"Hmmmm... is he alright..."
Akiho whispered to Kayo
"He seemed to be having some troubles..."
"Perhaps he's confused about something..."
Kayo replayed.
"Well then have a good night"
Kayo and Akiho say, and leaves the room.
And Kurohito falls asleep thinking about it...
