Chapter 8: Celebrations

As the Pillager Captain's head was decapitated he slowly faded away as the white clouds popped up and vanished. After that an UI Pop-up showed up saying [QUEST COMPLETE: Kill the Villagers Captain] and the Boss bar UI also went away... The Quest is complete.
But Kurohito who seemed excited before the battle now is questioning his own morality... he can't decide if what he has done is right or wrong, he thought why did the Pillager Captain wanted to die, the Pillager Captain didn't even have a fight.
But from the villagers perspective it was the right thing to do as the Pillagers were the one who started this war. But from Kurohito's perspective he can't decide as his still remembering what the Captain said...
'Why did the caption looked said...
'Why did he surrender...
'Why did he even attacked in the first place...
These were all the questions brewing in Kurohito's mind... But he decided to move on as he didn't cared enough his only motive was to return to his world.
...
Now the war is over as the Pillager Captain is dead, but what will happen to the remaining people of the Pillagers army...
Most of them returned to their kingdom but some of them remained and handed themselves over to the Village as they wanted to speak to the Player. There were 5 of them who were captured by the village guards, now they're tied up with ropes and locked up in a prison...
Prison as in they were locked up deep in the mines, as the village didn't have a prison.

As the night set, the villagers were gathered around in the village centre as they were celebrating their victory against the Pillagers.
"Yey finally we defeated these Pillagers, now we won't have to live with fear..."
A villager from the crowd shouted as he's enjoying this moment...
"We defeated the Pillager Captain, now we don't have to worry..."
Another villager from the crowd shouted...
"This all happened because of the Player, Kurohito..."
A Villager from the shouts and looks towards Kurohito...
Then every villager come running towards Kurohito and lifts him up to give a cheer of appreciation... while chanting...
"Hooooray!..."
"Hooooooray!..."
"It's all thanks to you we were able to do this..."
"We all thank you from our bottom of our heart..."
In that moment Kurohito also started enjoying it... and though to himself "This life maybe isn't too bad..."
when Kurohito got down Village Chief was waiting for him to talk.
"Kurohito we want to talk to you about something..."
Chief says to Kurohito, he looks really serious...
"Ah.. what is it.???"
Kurohito asked... with a confused look...
"You know I've been thinking about this for a long time..."
"From the day you said you'll help our village I've been thinking about it..."
Chief says... then he picks up the crown the he always wears and puts it on Kurohito's head...
"From this day onwards you are the new village Chief..."
Kurohito got confused and didn't know what to do after hearing the Chief's words... The villagers went silent after they heard it, they looked at him with a blank face... he was processing the words as it didn't made sense...
The villagers are still processing it...
"Ummm... you want me to be the Chief..."
"Did I heard it right???"
After calming down he asked as he was unsure if he heard it correctly...
He looked uncertain as to what right answer might be, he started getting overwhelmed by his own overthinking...
"Huh! are really asking me to be the Chief..."
"Or is this a trap?..."
"If I say yes I will be kicked out..."
"They're trying to test my judgement..."
"But I know what to answer..."
Kurohito overthinking thoughts...
He looked at the villager, looked at the Chief and smirked at himself and said...
"Yep! I will be the Chief..."
As he said it he started regretting it... as he said it wrong...
"No... no.. no.. no.. no!.."
"That's not what I want to answer..."
"I wanted to decline the offer..."
"Now what will they do..."
"Will they kick me out..."
"If they kick me out what will happen to the quests..."
He started overthinking again...
He looked at the villager and saw... everyone getting excited... everyone started cheering for Kurohito...
"Yea... Kurohito will be the next Chief..."
"That's awesome..."
"We're looking forward to it..."
Kurohito didn't expect it will turn out like this... But seeing everyone is cheering for him, maybe this wasn't a trap he thought... and being a Village Chief doesn't seem too bad... so he agreed and now he's the Chief of this village.
After he accepted the villagers Chiefs position a new UI Pop-up popped up. It said 'New Quest Unlocked' [RISE OF KINGDOM: TURN THE SAVAN VILLAGE INTO A LARGE KINGDOM] as it turns out after becoming the Chief new quest unlocked.
And this time it's a big task which will take quite a long time. This quest doesn't seem easy, I mean building a Kingdom is not simple this quest might take Kurohito years to complete but Kurohito doesn't have any other choice. If he wants to return to his world he has to complete this quest.
The villagers seemed quite happy after Kurohito became the Chief as they continued to celebrate all night.

In the morning Kurohito went to meet the Pillagers that were in the prison, he wanted to talk to them. Accompanying him were Shio and Kirisei (The former village chief) and some guards holding spears...
"Hmmmm... Chief do you really want to talk to those Pillagers?..."
Kirisei asked sounding concerned...
"They surrendered, so I think they won't do anything shady..."
Kurohito said...
"So will you do with them.?"
"Will you leave them or kill them?..."
Shio asked
"No.. no... I won't kill them, I just want to talk to them..."
Kurohito replied
They got to the Pillagers, locked up behind bars tied up both hands and legs. The Pillagers look at Kurohito when he arrived.
