“Hey, darling. Wake up,” I heard Amari’s voice whispering in my ear as I felt something cold on my forehead, bringing me to my senses. I opened my eyes, just to see a concerned expression on his face.
“What happened?” I asked, confused as I tried to sit up, but groaned, feeling lightheaded.
“You fainted in my arms. I was worried.”
Freddie stood by the doorway, bringing a smile on my face. His kids must be here already and I couldn’t wait to see them.
“Where are they?” I asked.
“They’re in the living room with Tory. Amari decided to bring you here to check on you. Have you been feeling well?” He asked, approaching my bed before he touched my forehead.
“Yeah, just lately I've been feeling off. Tired and lightheaded, but it might be just stress.”
