AMARI I walked back into the tent, rubbing the back of my neck as I realized what I just did. Kissing Emmeline was a mistake, but that mistake felt so good. I sat down on the bench, taking my shirt off to get ready for the hoop, when Tory walked in with a big smile on her face. "Your friend is nice," she mentioned, sitting by my side. "He is nice. But you two need to be careful, no rushing things. You know what happened with Clyde," I stated as she looked at me with a frown on her face. "What happened with Clyde was a stupid mistake on my part. If I knew the kind of man he was, I wouldn't have given him the time of day. Besides, I did learn my lesson and Freddie and I feel like we could be good friends." I felt sorry for her. She didn't deserve to be treated the way that i***t did.
