The sandstone exterior of the beautiful Spanish mansion that sat before Cartier's eyes had humbled her champagne lifestyle. Although she had been present in homes of celebrities and noteworthy producers and musical talents, this house placed them deeply into shame. Paintings of exquisite beauty and advanced age sat shamelessly upon the corridors of the home while details of gold, believed to be of genuine existence accented the entire decor.  "Cartier, this is Magdalena."
