Lexi made sure Miggy would leave his classroom on time the following day. She didn’t share the story with Mickey about what happened yesterday since it was a simple incident, albeit she felt odd about it. She thought Miggy’s new teacher must be so kind to treat him with extra attention.
“Did you have fun today?” Lexi asked the kids she was holding as they walked out of campus.
“Yes, mommy!” Miggy and Raden answered in unison.
“Sweet!” Lexi smiled
Seconds later, Russel approached them and picked Raden. He opened the car's door to place the boy in his car seat. Lexi helped Miggy to climb up the car when he suddenly yelled. “Mommy! Kokobee!”
Lexi looked at Miggy, realizing the boy wasn’t holding his stuffed toy. “Let me check your bag, sweetheart,” she offered, opening his backpack.
