CHAPTER 4. Ciara shuddered at the deep, sizzling baritone from the stranger who just snagged her up into his arms. Her body stiffened as his scent rushed into her nostrils, letting sparks loose in her body. His warm breath on her neck made her aware of his lips being so close to her body. It was a lot of sensation and it was beginning to make her p***y twitch. “Why did you do that to him? He was supposed to be my next partner,” Her voice was shaky. But yeah, she'd seen him kick the other guy who'd grabbed her arm. It was off. “I couldn't wait any longer to have this dance with you,” Damn, that voice, Ciara thought, as the twitching between her thighs kicked in again. There was so much huskiness for one man. Could get any lady on her knees begging to be f****d. She bit her lower lips, stifling a moan as his lips placed a soft kiss on her shoulder. “You sound like you've been waiting for a long time,“ Her words were barely coherent. She was freaking affected by the stranger, his scent, his huskiness, and the dark mystery that seemed to hover around him. And it's just been a minute! “I've been waiting forever,“ He dropped his hand to her lower back, brushing it briefly against the hem of her panties. She gasped, clutching his jacket. It was unbelievable how affected she was by his little tease. What game is this? Seduction on the dance floor? She hated feeling this way in a room filled with a thousand people. She was dripping wet and she hated it. It's a good thing the nightclub was filled with humans. Werewolves would have picked up the scent of her arousal if they were any close to her right now. Again, she felt his fingers graze her spine and she gave another forceful gasp. Her slight jerk led her closer to his arms. God, why does he smell so nice? “You got a leaking p***y or did you get so wet from this dance?” Ciara was lost in the mesmerizing huskiness of his voice that she hadn't realized what he said. But in a second, it hit her and her eyes flashed open. “What?“ “I can smell your arousal, princess. How the f**k did you get so wet?“ Ciara's cheeks flushed crimson at his words. She jammed her hands on his taut chest, needing to get away from him. He didn't budge. His arms held her tighter around her tiny waist, pulling her in again. Then his humorless chuckle followed, sending ripples down her spine. “Embarrassed much?“ Her teeth clenched in indignation but she didn't give him a reply. It was the first time a random guy or any guy at all was talking to her in such a condescending tone. Every guy that came her way always cowered in fear. But this cocky bastard seemed different. It's been a minute or two with him but he just ignited a million emotions in her. Lust, craving, anger, shame, fury. “Cocky much?“ Her comeback was weak, and she regretted the fact that she even said a word. “Only with the cockiest.“ Just then, the beat changed and it was time to switch partners. About damn time! “Would have loved to continue this chit-chat but I'm afraid It's time to switch partners. Have a bad evening, jerk!” She twirled away from his grip, reaching for the man who'd held her arm at the first switch. He stretched out a hand to her and she'd barely touched his fingers when she got pulled with a force that got her crashing into a taut chest and ripped arms. The familiar scent filled her nostrils and she almost screamed in frustration. “Back too soon, I see,“ Her held her tighter, squashing her boobs against his chest. “You couldn't stand not being in my arms?“ “What?! You pulled me back into your arms, asshole,“ “You sure about that or are you just imagining things?” “Piece of trash,“ Ciara mumbled, looking away. How the hell did she end up in the arms of the most infuriating and overbearing man in the universe? No one has ever rattled her this much, ever. Well, except Ryder, of course. But it's always been just Ryder. And now, this masked asshole just made the list. “At least allow me to breathe,“ She clenched out, repeatedly jamming her fist into his chest. “As you wish, princess,“ His hold loosened and for the first time since he snagged her up, she got to see his eyes. A pair of bluish-grey eyes were boring holes in her. For a second, she got lost in them. She's never been big on staring into people's eyes but out of the few she'd stared at, these bluish-grey eyes stand out the most. She'd never seen eyes with so much depth and a frightening dose of sadness, mixed with a horror vibe that seizes your breath. Who is this guy? Ghost forced himself to break eye contact. She was staring too deeply like she could see his soul. He felt vulnerable to her stares and he hated it. He checked for Sergio and saw him a few inches away, botching a dance move with some nude b***h. His eyes were fixed on Ciara like she was some trophy. Ghost held her closer, ignoring the growing boner in his pants and how frustrated he was getting from it. He recalled his foolish act minutes back. He'd thought to spice things up a bit and had gone ahead to kiss her shoulder. He hadn't thought it through, never imagined it could get him so hard and craving a little ease. And the fact that she was so f*****g sexy only heightened his torture. This was so far the hardest mission he's had to do. It was taking up all his patience and self - control and God knows how much more torture he has to endure before they get the hell out of here and he delivers her to Don Carianno. “What do you want from me?” “To dance. Now stop whining and enjoy it while it lasts. Could be the last dance you'll ever have,“ His words came out smooth, but she could feel the venom in them. It got her scared, and now, she was desperate to get out of his hold. She glanced around and spotted the guy who she almost danced with. If only she could break out of these suffocating ripped arms and go to him. Well, not particularly him but anyone else would be better than dancing with his jerk. “You wanna go to him?“ Ghost snorted. If only she knew Sergio was a lot worse. “You think he's any better than I am?“ Ciara was speechless for a minute. How the hell did he know what she was thinking? “Your eyes. They betray you in more ways than one,“ Ghost said again. Ciara lowered her eyes. Just what has she gotten herself into? For some reason, she felt in danger and she wasn't sure why. If only someone would rescue her from this man's claws. If only Tyson was here…her boyfriend. “Where is he?” Ghost asked sharply, his gruff voice almost made her jump out of her skin. “Where is who?“ She retorted with a quavering voice. It was becoming hard to talk properly. “The one you wished was here. Your boyfriend. Where the hell is he?“ “How did you know that?” “Because you just mumbled it, or said it out loud, I don't know. But you just said it,“ “No, I only thought about him. It was all in my mind. How the hell did you hear it?“ Ciara was almost whimpering now. It's just been confirmed that this stranger was one hell of an eerie man, and she needed to get out of his arms right now. He hears her thoughts. Wasn't he supposed to be a human? What the hell?!
