(CALLIE POV)
I was awakened by a knocking sound at the door. I had locked my door after returning from work and didn't have the energy to thank the Alpha for helping me get my job back before falling asleep.
As I partially woke up, I realized that the sound was indeed a knock. I glanced at the clock by my bedside and it read 11:30. Who would be knocking on the door at this late hour? Everyone should be asleep by now.
"Who is it?" I asked, rubbing my sleepy eyes.
"It's me," the person replied, but I already knew who it was. It was the Alpha. His voice gave him away. However, I couldn't understand why the Alpha would come to my room at this time of night.
