CHAPTER 24 “So you’re thinking of leaving Mel’s, huh?” I’ve got the heat in the house on low even though the night’s thirty-five degrees outside. I haven’t told Justin I’ve already left her place. He doesn’t know I’m spending Saturday night at my mom’s empty house. Thank God she didn’t think to change the security code. And that my brother took that job on the East Coast.
