Chapter 2: Bad Boy Angel True to his word, Taka sent a car to pick me up. I was duly impressed by the sleek black limo. I’d worked a lot of undercover cases but I’d never had the opportunity to ride in a car as nice as this one. I ran my fingers over the soft leather seat. The tinted windows allowed me to see out but no one could see in. Even the partition between me and the driver was tinted. This was living. But I couldn’t let it get to me. I had a job to do. I had to remember that Taka was a mark to be brought to justice. Nothing more. Nothing less. I scanned the street signs as we passed, memorizing the names and which direction we were going in just in case I needed it later. Moments later, the car pulled up in front a large building with a smaller building attached to it on the side. Kobayashi International. This was Taka’s father’s baby. They specialized in top of the line import cars. Their showroom was rumored to be guarded by the senior Kobayashi’s own handpicked security. They also owned several penthouses and other high end property. And young Markus Takahiro stood to inherit it all though he had his own money. And that was what I was here to find out. Where was he getting his money? The driver got out and opened the door for me, offering his hand to help me out. “Thanks,” I said to him. He nodded and leaned back against the car as another one of Taka’s men accompanied me inside. No one asked any questions as I followed along behind the man. He led me into the elevator, pressing the button for the 6th floor. The doors opened to reveal a large lobby with a large oak reception desk in the middle of the room. It was polished to a high shine and the woman behind it was dressed in a black pantsuit just like the men. I guessed that must be the uniform of choice for the Kobayashis. We bypassed the receptionist and went down the short corridor to a large office with two wooden double doors. The woman spared me a glance as she answered the phone. The man paused outside the office, and the man outside pressed a button and spoke into the speaker in Japanese. Taka answered back and he opened the door, gesturing for me to enter. I waited for him to follow me but he merely closed the door and left me alone with my mark. He held up a hand, gesturing for me to take a seat while he finished his call. I sat down on one of the soft leather sofas that lined one corner of the large room and looked around me. I listened to his conversation, the sound of his voice speaking in Japanese affecting me more than it should have. He was discussing cars and so I tuned him out and checked out his office. This room was richly appointed with a large mahogany desk in the middle of the room. His back was to a large window that afforded an amazing view of the city’s skyline. There was a bookshelf with books, pictures and trophies on it. Pictures of Japanese art lined the other wall. The place reeked of money. I was so lost in my visual exploration that I didn’t notice that Taka had finished his conversation until he sat down next to me. I stared at him. God, he was even more handsome in the daylight. “I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. Clients can sometimes be a bit talkative.” I smiled at him. “It’s okay. Your office is beautiful.” He nodded, looking around. “It’s comfortable. Can I offer you something to drink?” I shook my head. “No. Thank you. I don’t want to ruin my appetite for lunch.” Taka stood and went over to the mini bar and poured two drinks. It was obvious that he didn’t take too well to people denying him anything. He sat down again, offering me the glass. I took it, my fingers brushing his. I tried to hide my soft gasp as sparks shot through my body at the contact. “Thanks,” I said to cover it up. Taka nodded. He held up his glass, tapping it against mine. “To a new friendship,” he said softly. “New friendships,” I repeated. I took a sip of the champagne. Damn. This was the good stuff. The stuff that I couldn’t afford on my salary. Taka also took a sip of his drink, his eyes never leaving mine. He reached over and took my glass, setting both of them on the table. Leaning back, he slung an arm over the back of the sofa, his fingertips grazing my shoulder. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since last night,” he said without preamble. “I want you. And I’ll do what I have to do to have you. Even if that means killing that jackass of a boyfriend of yours.” I pretended to be shocked. “You can do that?” He shrugged. “I can do whatever I want to, sweetheart.” He stood, pulling me up with him and walked over to the window. “You see this?” he asked, gesturing to the city below. “All of this belongs to me. And it can belong to you too.” “What would I do with all of that?” I asked. Taka turned to look at me. “Anything you wanted.” He stared at me for a moment and I met his gaze full on. He was even better looking in the light. His inky black hair was thick and longer than most Japanese men wore theirs. A light dusting of stubble lined his jaw accentuating his full lips. My insides suddenly burst into flames and I wanted to kiss him. He was staring at me as well. His gaze dropped to my lips then back up. “You don’t need him,” he said softly. “Why not? Do you think you’re better?” “Look around you,” Taka said arrogantly. “Ask me that again.” I pretended to think about it. I had to get in close to him to get my intel. But I didn’t want to appear too eager or he’d lose interest. “I’ll think about it.” Taka grinned. “Come on. I’ll show you around.” He took my hand, leading me to the elevator. There was a different man outside his door and he followed us a few paces behind us. Taka didn’t pay attention to him. He must be used to having a bodyguard around him. It was a bit awkward for me to have him listening and watching everything. But oh well. I’d find a way to get rid of him. I glanced at Taka as the elevator made its descent. “I thought we were going to dinner?” He shrugged. “We are. Later. I made reservations for 6:00. I thought you might enjoy getting to know me better.” Wow, he was arrogant! I found that I kind of liked that about him whereas I would find it annoying with anyone else. He led me into the showroom and my mouth fell open at the sight of all the cars. I’d never seen so many flashy sports cars in my life. I wandered over to a cobalt blue car, admiring it. Taka came up behind me. “You like that one?” he asked. He gestured with one hand and his man opened the door. I peered inside at the black leather interior. It was the sexiest hunk of metal I’d ever seen. “It’s gorgeous,” I said, nodding. “Would you like to drive it?” I stepped back, shaking my head. “I couldn’t.” “Of course you can.” He took the keys from his guard. “Here. Take it out.” I followed Taka to the parking lot where another black suited man had driven the car outside. He got out and held the door for me. I slid inside, feeling excited about driving something like this. Especially since I knew I’d never get the chance to again. Taka slid into the passenger seat. And I pulled out of the parking lot. I glanced at Taka as I pulled onto the highway. “This car is fantastic,” I said. “I like it.” “I like you in my car,” he answered. Leaning forward, he reached over and pressed a button and the top slid back. I smiled at him as the wind whipped my hair back and lifted my skirt higher on my thighs. I reached to pull it back into place and he stopped me with a hand on my arm. “Don’t,” he said. “I like the view.” A shiver went through me at his words. It had been a while since a guy had paid any attention to me. Even if he didn’t mean it, it was still nice to hear. Besides, I wasn’t in this for a relationship. I was only here to bring him down. Driving this hot car was just a perk. “How fast will she go?” I said loudly, over the sound of the wind. “0 to 100 in six seconds,” he answered. “She tops out at 130.” Damn. That was fast. I stopped at the red light. Taka was still staring at me. “Are you some sort of speed junkie?” he asked. I shook my head. “No. Just wondering.” He nodded. “You want an adrenaline rush?” I glanced at him, not quite sure what he was talking about. “What do you mean? I don’t do drugs or stuff like that.” Taka chuckled. “I don’t do that either. That’s not what I meant.” The light turned green and he pointed to the exit on our right. “Turn off onto the freeway. It will take us in a circle to get back to the showroom. I’ll show you what I mean.” I admit I was curious and I changed lanes and turned onto the freeway. The speed limit was much faster than on the city streets and I pushed the gas to gain speed to melt into the flow of traffic. That was when I felt Taka’s hand on my thigh. I glanced at him to find him staring at me. I reached over to push his hand away but he wouldn’t budge. “What are you doing?” I asked. His fingers slid under the hem of my skirt. “Drive,” he murmured. I tried to keep my composure as his hand moved up my thigh but it was hard. I gripped the steering wheel with both hands as he stroked me through my panties. He never changed expressions or once took his gaze from my face. The intensity in his eyes turned me on even more than his hand up my skirt. When he moved aside my underwear to stroke my skin, I moaned softly. The wind carried the sound right to his ears and he smiled slightly. “Let me touch you,” he said. A shiver ran through me and it was all I could do to keep the car in my lane. “You have to stop or I’ll have an accident,” I said. “If we have to go, we’ll go happy,” he quipped. One long finger wriggled its way just inside me and I gasped, almost missing my exit. I shifted in the seat to give him better access and his finger sank all the way inside me. This time I moaned out loud. Luckily, the red light caught us and I was able to relax a bit. Taka took advantage of the situation and began thrusting his finger in and out of my body faster and harder. My back arched against the seat, drawing him deeper. “Stop,” I murmured. “The light is going to change.” “Hmmm. Then I don’t have much time, do I?” Oh he was bad! I grit my teeth, trying to hold my composure. The light changed and I shot forward. Fortunately, none of my police buddies were nearby. I’d have gotten a ticket for sure. Taka withdrew his fingers and pulled my underwear back in place as I turned into the parking lot. He gave me a gentle pat, reaching to press the button to put the top back up. I cut the engine and leaned over the steering wheel, trembling from unfulfilled desire. Taka got out of the car and came around to open my door. He pulled me out of the car, tossing the keys to the mechanic. I stumbled along behind him, trying to keep pace with his long strides. Moments later, we were back in his office, on the sofa and he was kissing me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him back with the months of pent up desire inside me. His lips traveled to my throat and I moaned softly, sinking my fingers in his thick hair. “Maybe we shouldn’t do this,” I murmured. It was part for his benefit to keep up my act and part because I knew I couldn’t let my guard down and fall for this guy. He was bad news. Besides, I was here to bring him to justice. Not get laid by…...him……. “Yes we should,” he murmured. “I want you. And what I want, I take.” He unbuttoned my blouse, parting the material to reveal the lacy bra beneath. “Even you.” I shivered in earnest this time. The rest of my clothes seemed to melt away of their own accord. Taka stared down at me, his dark eyes smoldering with desire. For the first time, I didn’t see him as a mark, someone to be taken down. I saw him as a man. A man who was sexy as hell. A man that I wanted. I couldn’t explain why I felt like this. Maybe I was lonely. Or horny. Or lonely and horny. But all I knew is that I wanted Markus Takahiro Kobayashi. And I wanted him right now. I reached up and pulled him down to me. Our lips met in another fiery kiss and his hands roamed freely over my body. I felt the clasp of my bra release and my breasts sprang free. Taka immediately took one n****e into his warm mouth. I groaned loudly and tangled my fingers in his hair. He kissed his way down my belly to my quivering core. My panties melted away and were replaced by his mouth. I gritted my teeth to keep from screaming with pleasure. It would be all I needed for his man to burst in and see us. But then screaming women in his office was probably a normal thing around here. God knows this man was good with his mouth! I shifted, pressing more firmly against him. I sighed with pleasure as he continued his oral assault on my body. I felt myself thickening and I knew I was close. I pushed at his shoulders and he obligingly knelt between my legs. I helped him free his straining member and then we were together, moving against each other towards the climax we both wanted. He collapsed on top of me, breathing hard. I ran my hands up and down his back as my own body slowly recovered. My mind spun with conflicting thoughts. My sleeping with Taka could have compromised the mission. But it had been a long time since I’d felt like this, sated, desired. He’d probably had a million women. So maybe what we’d just shared didn’t mean much to him. I’d messed up. Then again, maybe this could afford me the chance to get closer to him. “What are you thinking?” he asked. I shrugged. “Nothing. Just thinking.” “About spending the weekend with me?” This was better than I expected. “I don’t know,” I said slowly, pretending to hesitate. “We just met and-” “And we just made love,” he interjected. “We can leave right now. Go anywhere you want.” “I don’t have a change of clothes,” I protested weakly. “So I’ll buy you some. Come on.” I pretended to think about it. If I accepted his offer, I could get in close to him and get more info for the case. And maybe take a much needed vacation at Kobayashi Imports expense before busting the operation. I smiled up at him. “Okay. Sound like fun.” Taka smiled. “Welcome to my world, baby.”
