“Then let’s get her ready for the awakening,” Father Gyzyl says, peeling off his eyes from Luke and back to me. “There’s something you two are not telling me,” declares the priest. “I can’t get a read of her.” Within a blink of an eye the priest has gotten my hand on his while examining my face in eeriness. “What is it that you hide?” The skin on my back crawls that I immediately withdraw my hand away from him. “Luke?” “We can’t talk about it here, let’s go inside, shall we?” Luke offers, grabbing the priest’s shoulder while he sends me a nod to appease my fear. “Of course! I’ve got carried away. I’m sorry. Let’s get inside!” Father Gyzyl bows, spreading his arm for us to walk before him. We proceed inside the monastery in awkward silence.
