Samantha is not silly

William blinked his eyes as he did not understand what Samantha was trying to tell him.

How would her brother’s arrival help him?

His thoughts were clearly written on his face and Samantha chuckled as she said, “Didn’t you want the help of our pack during your fight?”

William did not reply as he did not think it was necessary to state something that was obvious.

Samantha slowly came near his ears as she turned her head in all the directions as if she was checking if anyone was eavesdropping on their conversation before she softly whispered in his ear, “Don’t think that all the wolves in our pack were obedient in front of my father. In fact, he is just a paper tiger.”

William’s lips couldn’t help but twitch at the usage of her words. No matter how he looked, he couldn’t see Henry as the so-called ‘paper tiger’.

Samantha could see that William did not believe her but she was not disheartened by this. She continued whispering, “You will know when you actually see my Brother. All these people who were talking and laughing in front of my Father, wouldn’t even dare to sit in front of my brother.

“He is the real leader here, alright?”

William did not know why, but she looked really smug when she was lowering the value of her own Father in front of him- a complete outsider. Well, of course, it also showed that she really looks upon this mysterious brother of hers.

Compared to her father, who was known to pamper her like a real princess from her childhood, William did not think that she would side with the ‘scary’ brother of hers, whom he never met.

“The entire control of the pack is already under his control. Only in the name, the Alpha is my Father. But if one day, my Father and my Brother were to fight against each other, I will bet with you now that every single wolf here would not think for a second before siding with my brother. That is his power.” Samantha continued explaining the inner secrets of her pack, not even thinking that he may use this news against her own pack one day.

William did not know if he should be thankful for her unconditional trust or if he should treat her as a silly lady who would welcome the enemy into the doors of her house one day with a huge smile plastered onto her face and even provide them with some food as a good host.

Of course, it was just a simple thought that passed through his mind like a fleeting cloud. There is no way he would treat this woman as someone silly. She was the most intelligent woman he had ever met in his lifetime.

He doesn’t know if the silly side she displays was a facade to stop others from seeing through her or if she was really as carefree as she appeared, but no matter what, she is not silly enough to welcome her enemies easily.

Samantha did not care about his thoughts as she continued, “If my brother was here, you wouldn’t have to go through all this hassle of engagement and other nonsense. As long as you provide him with a good enough deal, he will give you his support. And him supporting you would mean the support you get from this pack would be many times stronger than you are now getting with the support of my Father. Do you understand what I am saying?”

William processed all the information she had just dumped over him and nodded his head. He was not a stupid man who should be fed with each and every letter so that he had to understand what she wanted to tell him.

He could understand the words that she told him and could also read the words in between those words that she never uttered.

According to her unspoken words, though Henry gave him the support of his pack, the members wouldn’t be as enthusiastic about helping him as much if it was her brother that supported him.

Not only that, but he also understood that the army under Henry is not the entire strength of this pack. There is more to it than he could see.

There is an invisible power that was under Samantha’s brother.

William looked into Samantha’s eyes to read her thoughts. There should be a reason for her telling him all this, right?

There should be something going on in this woman’s mind when she decides to speak all these words to him.

There is no way she just casually spilled such important information in front of him.

There is definitely no way that the reason she told him this was that she treated him as her friend.

Sometimes, not everything can be shared with a friend. Such an important piece of information is definitely among them.

He could close his eyes and bet immediately that Samantha did not share this piece of information even with her mate.

As he said before, she is not a silly woman that would spill all the secrets anywhere.

She knows what to talk about in front of which person and vice versa.

So there must be some plan in her mind behind the reason for her telling him all this.

He searched in her eyes for a long time, but he couldn’t find her intentions in doing so. She continued pretending to be silly. This made him understand that she would not reveal what she was planning, even if he were to ask her.

Hence, he simply nodded his head and did not speak anymore.

Samantha’s lips curved upwards as she watched all the changes in William’s expressions.

In fact, William’s face had always been cold with no change in expression. But Samantha could easily read him. This already shows that she is not a simple woman, just as William expected.
