They both smiled before looking at the sky. They could see the orange sun coming into their view. The light felt warm, as if it was a new beginning, since the coldness from the last night would be thawed by this new warmth. Samantha did not chatter anymore as she sensed that William had calmed down. They both enjoyed the sunrise in silence. They could hear a few birds singing from the trees around them. They enjoyed the warmth for a while before William finally spoke, “I think I should go back to my room and freshen up. A long journey ahead after all.” Samantha smiled at him and nodded her head.
