Lana looked around the room nervously, noting that Tony had left in a huff. He had a vague idea what was going on. He'd suspected since the night before. And he was too upset to sit and listen to Lana's version. So he'd left, angry that she hadn't confided her plan to him. “I planned to use myself as bait,” she began nervously. “I bought a packet of prescription heat pills while I was at the airport. Most airports have werewolf medicines under pseudonyms. It was a long-shot, but it was worth a try. And apparently, it worked. Someone’s been trailing us all day according to my team, but he keeps giving my men the slip.” Xavier roared angrily, eyes flickering to yellow. “You put us all in danger! You should have told us!” “I didn’t think it would come to this!” Lana exclaimed tearfully.
