“Everything is set,” Lana spoke over her phone. “I’ll chip myself when we go for the hike, and make sure you have your people all over the place we’re going to be staying at.”
The person over the phone said something and Lana simply agreed.
“Ready?” Tony’s bright voice queried as he entered her apartment.
“I’ll talk to you later,” Lana said quickly, snapping the case on her phone shut and not even waiting for a response from the other end.
Tony raised an eyebrow.
“Everything OK?”
Lana seemed jittery to him.
“Oh it was just a member of the investigation unit,” Lana said off-handedly. “I told them we’ll be unavailable for the next few days and to call us if there was an emergency.”
