Rose was discharged the next morning with a clean bill of health. The doctor commented that her recovery was swift and quite remarkable. Her throat still felt a little sore but it wasn’t anything too serious. The doctor and nurses assured her she’d be fine in a few days. Janet was discharged at the same time so Thomas arrived in his car to drive everyone home together. Josie invited Thomas and Rose to stay for lunch which was why Rose found herself cornered by Alyssa in the upstairs hallway. Rose had come out of Janet’s room, helping the little girl settle back in.
