Rose woke up much later in the pack clinic. Her eyes landed on Aunty Maria and then her father as both sat at her bedside with unshed tears.
Aunty Maria stood up abruptly.
“Oh my baby!” Aunty Maria cried, clutching her hand. “I’m so glad you’re safe!” The older lady who had devoted her entire life to looking after Rose began sobbing uncontrollably. Unbidden, tears leaked from Rose's eyes as well.
“Dr. Danvers said don’t do or say anything to trigger another panic attack.” Thomas said sternly, clutching Maria by the shoulders and bringing her back slightly .”Get ahold of yourself Maria. Be strong for Rose.”
