The call I got from Chase’s phone scared me. My heart pounded when an unfamiliar voice shouted at me to lock my door. I wasn’t sure what was going on, but I made sure everything was locked, anyways. Once I confirmed the locks, I was ready to head up the stairs until I heard glass shatter behind me. Without even bothering, I charged up the stairs as soon as I heard a low growl. I rushed into the closest bathroom and went to slam the door closed, but the creature tried to barge in.
