Alone Time- Chase's POV

1628 Words
I was enjoying the night since Amelia and her friends came. I still felt bad about her being injured from the situation outside, so I offered her friends and her free drinks for the night. While the three gossiped amongst themselves, I stood on the other side with my brothers, watching the club to make sure there was no problems.  Is that her? Your heart has been going crazy since she showed up… I turned my attention to Aiden and nodded to his question. The both of us turned to bar and stared at the three. I couldn’t help, but to stare at Amelia. God, I wanted her so bad, but I knew I had to be patient.  Calm down… You’ll get there with her… I know… Just being that close to her makes my wolf go crazy… After saying that, Amelia got off the barstool and walked over to me with a smile on her face. I couldn’t help, but to glance at her attire. What she had on made my mind go f*****g insane.  “Do you have time to talk?!” She asked me over the loud music. “Go ahead, it’s your break, anyways!” Aiden told me before he walked off.  “Come on!” We headed to the back where I normally was in. That was where the cameras captured everything happening in the club.  As soon as we got in, I closed the door and took a seat where the monitors were.  “So, you work here?” She asked me. “Yeah.” I told her. “So, a UPS man and a security guard for a club? Aren’t you a busy guy?” I chuckled and smiled at her before turning my attention to the monitors.  “So, do you go out or anything?” She asked me. I glanced over at her and shrugged. ‘It depends.” I said.  “Like dates. Do you even have time for a girlfriend? I mean, do you have one?” We stared at each other for a minute before I shook my head. “No, I haven’t been with anybody for a minute.” I told her. “Why is that?” She asked. “Because I’m only looking for the right one.” I told her. She nodded and took the seat beside me.  “You don’t mind, do you?” “No.” Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Damn it… Calm down, Kiba…. Don’t ruin this for me…. “Are you okay?” She asked me. I glanced at her and nodded my head. “Yeah.” I told her. “But, what about you? Do you have a man?” She smiled and shook her head. “What happened?”  “Um, he was just too… Weird for me. Like he was like always telling me when I could or could not go out. Then, I wasn’t allowed to hangout with my friends and stuff like that.” “So, you had a controlling type of man in your lif4re?” She got quiet and just stared at me. “He didn’t touch you, did you?”  “No, he wasn’t that controlling. He just would keep me hostage and stuff.” Kiba growled inside of me and I almost let it slip, but I kept myself under control. There was no way she could find out about me now. She wasn’t ready for it.  “So, are you talking to someone?” I asked her. “No, I kind of put the dating thing on hold because of him. I was kind of nervous in dating for a while.” “What about now?”  She looked at me and smiled. “Well, if a hot guy asked me, then maybe I would accept it. But, so far, I’ve been single.” I nodded and the room got quiet again. My eyes went back to the monitors, checking for anything out of line. Before I could even say anything to her, I noticed something in the back of the club where the bathroom was.  “Um, I have to go do something, but I’ll take you back to the bar, okay?” I told her. “Was I boring you?” She asked me.  “Wait, what?” “Was I boring to you?” I squinted my eyes at her and shook my head. “No, it’s not that. s**t! f**k! Okay, just stay here. I’ll be back.” I rushed out of the room, heading over to the bathrooms. There was nobody in sight. Immediately, I used my nose to make sense of what happened back here. The smell of coke was what I picked up and it came from the women’s bathroom. I pushed the door open to the bathroom and seen six females there, talking and laughing. “Yeah, I can’t wait to try it.” The first female said. The group got quiet as soon as they saw me walk in. “Hi, Chase.” The woman said. “What are you doing here?” I leaned against the sink and crossed my arms over my chest. “Should I ask where you got that from?” I asked them. “So, you came here to interrogate us and not socialize?” Brenda asked, clutching her purse. “Maybe you need to leave us alone. We’re not bothering you at all.” She tried to walk past me, but I blocked the door.  “Don’t do this.” I told her. “You brought illegal substances into my f*****g club. Of course, I was going to question you. Now, where’d you get it?” “It’s none of your damn business.”  I extended my hand to her and she rolled her eyes at me. “No, you do this every f*****g time.” She whined. “I’m not giving you my stuff.” “You really want to waste your life on that s**t? It’s not worth it.” “Why would you care? You’re not my man.” “And I’m not trying to be.” She smacked her lips and again, tried to walk past. “Where is your brother?” She asked me. “He’s better than you, anyways.” “Give me the drugs, now.” I told her, ignoring her insults. Just my tone alone made her jump. She rolled her eyes at me before digging into her purse and pulling the baggie out. She slammed it into my hands and pouted. “Can we go now?” She asked. I moved out the way and the group left. I walked out the bathroom and headed back to the security room.  “Was that Brenda again?” Matthew asked me.  “Yeah, get your girl.” I joked. He nudged me and I continued back to the room.  *** As I walked in, Amelia was heading out.  “Where are you going?” I asked her. “I’m just going to head home.” She replied.  Make her stay… She’s close to you, now… “It’s clear you’re busy.” “No, I’m available now.” I told her. “I still wanted to get to know you.” “It’s okay. We can do it another day.” She walked past me and I grabbed her hand. “Don’t leave.” I begged her. I’ve never begged any woman before, but she was worth it. “No offense, Chase. I feel like you’re not interested in me. Maybe there’s another woman you want to be with.” That s**t hurt. How could she not see that I wasn’t interested? She gave me a small smile and tried to pull my grip. I wasn’t trying to lose that girl at all. I had to come u with something fast if she was going to stick around. “Look, I apologize.” I told her. “Today is another busy day for me. Let me at least take you out.”  “Like on a date?” I nodded. “Yeah. To a dinner and a movie.”  “Um, if you’re able to.” “I will be. How about Saturday evening around 6pm?” “Um.. Okay.” I finally released her and she walked off. Damn, I wanted to kiss her before she left my side. Then, do it…. She’s not to far… Nervous as hell, I decided to do it. I ran after her and grabbed her one more time. She turned to me and before she could even get a word out, my lips pressed to hers. Her lips were just as I suspected. They were nice and soft. Something I didn’t want to pull away from. But, I had to. Amelia stared at me with a little blush on her face. “Bye.” She said. “Call me later.” “I will.” I told her. She left me again and that time, I let her. My lips tingled just from the kiss and I smiled before I turned and headed back to the room.
