Archival records from the Imperial Jaguar Menagerie imply that the Emperors Jaguar bred animals more powerful than the Swords themselves. In fact, the first Emperor Jaguar usurped the Southern throne with a neurologically-enhanced animal"s help. Were only animals experimented upon? A few period historians speculate that Flowering Pine, Flying Arrow"s consort and the mother of the Arrow Twins, was herself the product of extensive neurological modification.
