“You’re glowing,” Isobel teased Katherine, while the woman worked on pinning her hair in front of the mirror. Her friend now lived in the servants’ quarters with Alex, but she arrived in Isobel’s chambers every morning to help the princess dress and to style her hair. “Being married has that effect on a person,” Katherine replied with a smile. Her cheeks had turned a rosy pink, but Isobel didn’t think it was from embarrassment. “Being married and bonded to a man who loves you completely and worships the ground you walk on has that effect on a person,” Isobel corrected her. Katherine chuckled and nodded her head in agreement. “Speaking of which,” she whispered even though they were alone. “Have you and James decided when you want to have your bonding ceremony?” Isobel shook her head
