“You’re glowing,” Isobel teased Katherine, while the woman worked on pinning her hair in front of the mirror. Her friend now lived in the servants’ quarters with Alex, but she arrived in Isobel’s chambers every morning to help the princess dress and to style her hair. “Being married has that effect on a person,” Katherine replied with a smile.
