Leo Kahn came out of nowhere, standing beside Gabby and placing a hand on David's shoulder. He shoved him backward with all the calmness in the world before he was leaning in to say something in David's ear. Marley watched his once carefree expression turn sombre and afraid. When Leo pulled away a few seconds later, David nodded briskly, and Leo's eyes flickered to Gabby before he was walking away again. She was still staring at the papers, utterly clueless to what just happened.
