Eirick
We are having a free period right now since our teacher has some emergency situation. So most of us are in the student lounge, chatting, playing with their phones or just plain hanging out.
I’m with Kirby and Anya right now. And Anya looked down since she arrived this morning.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Kirby asked Anya, but she ignored him.
I sighed.
“Is this about what happened in the event?” I asked.
Anya sniffled.
“H-He just left with her.” Anya mumbled, and I rolled my eyes.
Kirby turned to me.
“What is she on about?” He asked.
“My brother seems to like another woman.” I answered, and Anya’s sniffles became louder.
“Oh for Christ sake Anya, stop. So what if Dranz like someone else?!” Kirby exclaimed.
Anya glared at him.
“So what? Can’t you get it? I love him! He’s supposed to go on a date with me, not some Spanish girl! I should be the only girl in his life!” Anya exclaimed.
“You’re being delusional now Anya. You don’t hold his life nor his heart.” Kirby paused, rubbing his palms on his face.
“Look I know how you feel. I know how it feels when the person you love loves someone else. But you didn’t see me acting all depressed.”Kirby said.
I feel bad for Kirby. For some time now, I know he’s in love with Anya but Anya only has her eyes on my brother.
I shook my head on these two, as their aura is so depressing. And then my eyes fell on Rafi having a conversation with her best friend. She looks really beautiful whenever she smiles.
When she stood up and left the student’s lounge, I stood up as well and followed her. She made her way towards the library, with me hot on her heels.
Inside the library, I saw her went to the farthest part of the library. I made my way there, and carefully peeked. Behind the very last shelf, at the very back of the library, were a love seat couch and a coffee table. Rafi was there, reading.
“I didn’t know about this.” I said looking around, and Rafi was startled with my sudden presence.
“You startled me.” She said.
I smiled at her.
“Oh, did I?” I asked with a smirk.
She rolled her eyes and smiled.
“So, is this your little haven?” I asked her, and she nodded.
“I work as a librarian assistant here, and since library is not exactly the student’s chosen place to hang out, I asked Ms. Kramer top let me have this spot as my spot.” She said.
“This is a nice spot, quiet and peaceful.” I paused, and took a seat next to her.
”I think I’d like to hang out here too.” I said, and she looked at me.
“Don’t you have any other place to hang out? Just go with your friends.” She said.
“But you’re my friend too.” I said.
Rafi groaned, and she put down the book she’s reading.
“What do you want?” She asked.
I smiled at her and placed my arm around her shoulder.
“I just want to hang out with you.” I told her, but she removed my arm around her.
“Just hang out with your friends. Anya McPearson is a bit down right now.” She said. I felt like something is in the way she said those words, but I cannot pin point.
“Nah. Let Kirby handle her. She’s being too dramatic right now.” I said, and then sighed.
She arched her eyebrow at me.
“Aren’t you going to comfort her?” she asked.
“I told you, let Kirby handle her. She’s just being so melodramatic because my brother claimed another girl to date last Friday night.” I told her.
“What?”
“Last Friday night, we attended a fundraising event. My brother was one of the bachelors being auctioned. He kind of bid for himself, and announced that he wanted to have a date with the Spanish heiress.” I told her.
“Aww that’s so sweet.” She cooed and I frowned.
“What’s so sweet with that?” I asked her.
“A guy proclaiming his interest in a girl in front of a crowd is such a sweet thing. A grand gesture.” She said.
“Coming from my brother is unbelievable. Besides-” I paused.
“Is my proclamation not that sweet?” I asked.
She stared at me, gaping. I sighed and pushed her chin up.
“Do I need to say it in front of the assembly?” I asked her.
She frowned.
“Are you insane? What the hell are you talking about?” She hissed.
I stood up, and began pacing back and forth. Then I stopped and turned to her.
“Are you that dense?” I asked her.
“What?”
“Rafaela Mendez, I like you. A lot.” I said.
Just like that she stared at me, again.
“I like you, and that’s the truth.” I told her.
She was silent for a couple of seconds, just staring at me.
“You know, I would really appreciate it if you would at least say a word.” I said, taking a seat beside her again.
She cleared her throat and looked away from me.
“What do you want me to say? It’s not a common occurrence when the school’s most popular jock would tell a nobody like me, that he likes her.” She ranted.
“You can at least say thank you.” I said with a shrug.
She glared at me.
“And why the hell should I thank you?” She sneered.
“You said it yourself, it’s not a common occurrence that a popular jock like me, would like a nobody like you.” I told her.
She gasped, and was about to slap me when I grabbed her hand and stared at her eyes.
“To me, you are not a nobody. You are somebody that I really, really like.” I said, and then my eyes went to her lips.
Her lips that looked so inviting. I swallowed trying to control myself, but I can’t. I need to have a taste.
“I’m sorry.” I told her.
“Wha-“
I cut her off when I crashed my lips on her. Her lips were soft and it tastes so sweet. My lips began to move against her steady ones.
I smiled against her lips and pulled away.
“Y-You thief.” She blurted, and I smirked.
“A kiss is not the only thing I can steal from you.” I paused, cupping her cheek.
“I swear. I will steal your heart.” I told her, and gave her one last peck before pulling away.
I stood up, gave her a mock salute before leaving her speechless. I was smiling like a lunatic while I walked out of the library, not a care in the world. Including the prying eyes of other students there.

Rafi
How dare he?!
Eirick Salvatore just kissed me!
My hand went to my lips and touched my lips that just a few seconds ago was against his lips.
He stole a kiss, he stole my first kiss. That little devil!
But then, a smile began to appear on my lips.
“Oh Eirick, you really are something.” I mumbled, and went back to reading my book.
