Li Xian close his eyes and takes a deep breath. Opening his eyes, he looks at the trees. He felt the wind and hear the sound of leaves.
Everything felt very peaceful.
Sometimes, he would hear the birds chirping in the distance. It calms his heart and clear his mind. He enjoyed this feeling for a while before focusing back at the task at hand
He checks his lightness skill first. If not for his lightness skill how could he survived fighting against such a powerful saber user like Shi Yuan.
That is one of the factors that enable him to dodge Shi Yuan attack and manage to persevere until that very last moment and clinch the victory.
It also helps that all of his Lightness skill techniques is on grandmaster level.
Now that he had so many lightness skill points, how would he not spend it to increase his ability to dodge s***h an ability for him to easily run away since he knows how important it is.
It is not only dodging it would also improve his ability to leap taller and appears like he is flying.
It enables him to control the weight of his body and uses force around his body efficiently.
He decided to buy two lightness skill from the store costing him 30 Ding and 100 Liang. ‘Spending money like water’ he thought to himself.
The lightness technique that he bought is Striding Across the Clouds and Shadow Chasing Steps
He then checks the Striding Across the Clouds status window
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Striding Across the Clouds
[ Move as gently as the wind steeping gently like a feather, move fast like lightning, but making no sound like a feather falling from the Heavens]
[Learning this skill will enable the practitioner to dash up in the air and mask the practitioner movement sound. When cultivated to the extreme, one movement would look like a travelling immortal and no sound could be heard unless the practitioner lose focus when executing this lightness skill]
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Li Xian felt that familiar feeling of feeling his feet circulation seems to guide him and feeling his body grew lighter.
He could ignore it by this point as he had level up many times his lightness skill
He then looks at the other lightness technique that he had bought, the Shadow Chasing Steps.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Shadow Chasing Steps
[Move like the shadow like you please and meld with it. Appears like a descending star and attack like a thunderous roar of thunder]
[Learning this skill will enable the practitioner to dash on the ground with more speed and enable the body to meld with the darkness of the night. Extreme speed could bring about a powerful attack. Combining lightness technique and martial arts skill with this lightness technique would increase the benefit of learning this lightness technique. Like a hidden weapon, the shine of the sword is hidden until the weapon is unsheathed]
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Li Xian nodded satisfied with the lightness skill effects.
and then he looks at his lightness skill points and he nodded to himself. He uses up 42,120 lightness skill points to rank up both of the Lightness Skill to grandmaster level.
A vision fills his mind instructing him how to use the lightness skill.
This time he could maintain consciousness and not went into that dreamland but at the same time he is conscious of what is happening in front of him, he is also at the same time in the dreamland, seeing the vision of him performing the lightness skill
It is like his mind is split into two doing separate thing at the same time.
He then sighed. he still has a lot of lightness skill points
Right now, he has 328,580 lightness skill points but nowhere to spend it.
Because he could not buy another lightness skill technique since he did not have enough money.
At this time, he wanted a conversion function.
He wanted to convert these lightness skill points to either Life Skill points or martial skill points. Li Xian thought in his mind
‘O, Martial Arts system please let me convert lightness skill points to the other two skill points’ he pleaded.
Then he waited for any words like request granted or something along that line. But no words greeted him and Li Xian clicked his tongue again.
‘It didn’t work huh. I guess this system is really mute and would not give me any hints whatsoever’ he thought to himself.
He wanted to curse but then he shakes his head. Doing things like that would not make things better after all
There is still 37,655 martial skill points.
Even though it would not be able to rank up any martial skill to grandmaster, Li Xian believes he should diversify his attack so he once again opens the System store
He only has four ding and a few hundred liang so the choices that is presented to him is not much but there is one technique that he wanted to buy and can afford to buy
It is the Thirteen Gate of Swords.
It is a basic skill but what drew Li Xian to it is that its moves seem to teach the profundity of sword, the learning of styles and at the same time the basic of using a sword.
Maybe later if he could modify this skill it would be like the Divine Gate Thirteen Sword of Wudang like in the wuxia stories.
Or maybe it could be modified to become other skill.
The reason why he thought that if he modifies the skill it would be like the Divine Gate Thirteen of Wudang is because the moves that it taught is like the Wudang style
Though Li Xian doubts that Wudang exist since most stories attributed that it began to establish a name for themselves during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasty or during the Southern Song dynasty
Of course, he doubts that this world would be the same considering that there is no such thing people that could leap out high up into the sky in his time but is very normal in this world
He bought it using 4 Ding and then he read the description of the Thirteen Gate of Sword

[Thirteen Gate of Sword]
A basic sword art that any swordsman and swordswoman should learn, teaching the basic of using the sword and the variations in a sword attack
The sword art is not a matter of hacking. If you are hacking, you are performing saber techniques rather than the sword art. Therefore, the sword art is simply these thirteen techniques as a standard. First seek to make each technique correct, then skillful, and then with practice will come artistry. the student first strives with the simple, then moves on to the difficult
The art basically consists of thirteen techniques of using the sword
1) Drawing the sword (which divides into drawing from above and drawing from below) [MASTER]
Both the drawing from above and drawing from below use the full passive hand position, the back of your hand facing upward, center of your hand downward
2) Dragging the sword (which divides into vertical-blade dragging and horizontal-blade dragging) [MASTER]
Vertical-blade dragging uses the half passive position, the center of the hand centered [ facing to the left]
With horizontal-blade dragging, perform active sword circling with a full active position, the center of the hand facing upward, the back of the hand facing downward.
3) Lifting the Sword (which divides into front lifting and rear lifting) [MASTER]
This technique uses the three-quarter passive position. The body’s maneuvering here divides into forward and back. Front lifting is for advancing. Rear lifting is for retreating, your left hand assisting your right hand. Your right foot behind fills and your left foot in front empties as you move back
4) Blocking the Sword (which divides into blocking from below [reverse blocking] and overturned blocking) [MASTER]
For reverse blocking, use a half passive position. For overturned blocking [using a half active position], deflect your opponent’s sword as it nears your body, aiming for his wrist.
5) Striking the sword (which divides into straight striking and reverse striking) [MASTER]
Straight striking uses the one-quarter active position. Reverse striking divides into striking to the ear and striking to the wrist
6) Stabbing the sword (which divides into vertical-blade stabbing and horizontal-blade stabbing) [MASTER]
A vertical-blade stab uses a half passive position. A horizontal-blade stab is the same as a vertical-blade stab, except the sword goes forward with the blade flat [full active position].
7) Tapping the Sword [MASTER]
Using a half passive position and without moving the rest of your body or arm, apply strength from your wrist to send your sword tip downward, with the blade vertical, toward your opponent’s wrist.
8) Flicking the Sword (which divides into upright flicking and overturned flicking) [MASTER]
Upright flicking uses the half passive position. Overturned flicking uses [a half active position and] a covering step.
9) Stirring the Sword (which divides into horizontal stirring and vertical stirring) [MASTER]
For horizontal stirring, use a half passive position, holding your swords up diagonally, the blades vertical, and stir them around each other.
For vertical stirring, switch to the full active position and bring your sword tip stirring toward your opponent’s wrist, your left hand assisting at your sword handle as you advance.
10) Pressing the Sword [MASTER]
Using a full passive position, point your sword to the left and use it to press down your opponent’s sword, slowing him down, and then you can take advantage of the opportunity to switch to attacking.
11) Chopping the Sword [MASTER]
Using a half passive position, step forward and chop with the blade vertical.
12) Checking the sword (which divides into four versions: horizontal checking, left checking, right checking, reverse checking) [MASTER]
For horizontal checking, using a half passive [full active] position, send your sword upward and forward to check your opponent’s wrist.
For left checking, avoid your opponent’s stab by inclining your body to the right while sending your sword to the left to check his wrist. Your right foot is full, left foot empty
For right checking, avoid your opponent’s strike to your wrist or body by moving to the left while bringing your sword to the right to check his wrist. Your left foot is full, right foot empty.
Reverse checking. Your body inclines to the left as you go downward from above to your opponent’s wrist. (Whichever of the versions, your left hand’s spearing finger is making a semicircle.) Your left foot is full, right foot empty
13) Clearing the sword [MASTER]
Attack your opponent’s body, going upward from below with a reverse chop. Your right foot in front is full and your left foot behind is empty.

Unlike normal martial arts that he had to learn before, this sword art is different in that each of the thirteen moves must be mastered to grandmaster level before he could upgrade the entire martial arts technique.
But the difference was that each of the thirteen sword moves is already mastered to Master level but no vision occurs in Li Xian minds.
It is probably the reflection of his own ability that the sword moves are already ranked expert.
After all the moves that the sword is teaching him, he had performed it in the battle before and combined with the six divine meridian sword, compressing a set of swordplay in each of the six meridians making able to shoot sword Qi from each fingers, making the system to acknowledge his effort making all the sword moves on Expert rank.
But on the status window he saw the Thirteen Gate of Sword and it description is weird in that it shows that it is locked.
Only after he reaches grandmaster level with all of the thirteen moves he could normally upgrade the rank of this martial arts.
Looking at his points he could upgrade two of the sword moves into grandmaster level.
He smiles at himself and then he did not immediately rank up the skill.
Instead he bathed for a while.
