“His Luna?” I whispered again, staring at the paper in disbelief.
“He doesn’t have a Luna,” Emily said with wonder. “Could he be talking about Susanna?”
The thought made me feel ill on the inside. I wanted to pretend I didn’t see this, but I took a picture of it anyways. Everything I found going forward was evidence and I needed to document literally everything.
I placed the invitation under a few others documents before departing from the office.
Thankfully, nobody saw me enter the office and nobody saw me leave. The halls were still vacant, but I could hear the light chatter of Gavin on the floor below and Beta Seth approaching the stairway.
