Her Human Mate

Chapter 3

Honor and Garrett are walking downstairs holding hands.

"Good morning, Alphas are you two ready to be announced that you two are Mates? " Her father said looking at them

"Yes, father, we are." She said smiling.

"Son, what do your parents do for a living? "Jay asks Garrett.

"My father is also a doctor, my mother is a stay at home mom," Garrett said.

"We want to talk to you two about letting Bridget come here to see you two. We want to know why you have Mate bonds? It seems that something or someone has interfered with your two future. To be honest. I want to know who and why. I don't like anyone messing with my little girl" Jay said looking at Garrett and Honor.

"What do you mean? Do you think someone tried to keep us from being together?" Garrett asks looking at him concerned.

"Yes, dear, that's what it seems like. We think someone cast a spell. But your two bonds were stronger than the spell. Probably because of the encounter you two had that day at the pond. You were able to bond a little that day." Her mother said looking at them.

"I would like to know the answer to that myself, " Honor said nodding her head.

"Sure. That is a good question. What would they have to gain?" Garrett said looking around the room.

"Who knows why people do the things they do. But we are going to find out. "Jay said looking at Garrett.

"Let's announce that you two are Mates." Her mother said smiling looking at Honor and Garrett.

"Good morning, the Luna, and I want to announce that our daughter, your Alpha has found her Mate. "Jay said smiling looking around the yard.

The pack is looking at Garrett. They could smell that he is human.

"Yes, he is human but strong, and fearless, Dr. Garrett Hemsworth. If anyone disrespects him in any way. You will not only have my daughter's temper to deal with. You will have me to deal with. Luna just linked me saying her too. "Jay said nodding his head." He is looking around at the pack.

Howls and cheers erupt. Everyone is happy that their Alpha has finally met her Mate.  Well. everyone but Harris. 

Harris always thought that sooner or later that Honor would Mate with him.

Honor, Sonja, and Caitlyn are talking. They are making plans for them and their Mates to grill later tonight or tomorrow. 

Garrett is talking to Kyle and Lee as they are walking back from the hospital.

"How long have you known your friend Jared?" Lee asks him. "It's something about your friend that rubs me the wrong way"  He is thinking.

"Every since I can remember, all my life. Honor said that she knows him from somewhere. But can't seem to be able to place him." Garrett said looking at Honor.

"Our Mates said the same thing, The other night when we were at the movies," Kyle said looking at his Mate Sonja 

"But I have a feeling when it does come to them.  I am not going to like it"  Garrett said shaking his head.

"We have the same feeling," Lee said looking at him shaking his head.

Garrett's phone rings. He looks down at his caller ID. It is Jackson, his father calling from Australia again.  His father has called several today already.  But he has been busy at the hospital with Doc and Jill.  Also with Kyle and Lee, they took him out the borders. 

"I  guess I need to answer this time. If not he will start calling the hospital."  Garrett is thinking

"Phone Conversation" 

Garrett: Hello

Jackson: Your mother and I have been calling you all day. I ended up calling Jared. Your mother was worried about you. Jared said you moved in with your girlfriend. Why haven't we heard about her before?

Garrett: The reason I didn't answer your calls, its because I have been busy.  I do not tell you and Jared all my business. 

Jackson: You are a doctor. How do you know that she is not looking at the benefits of that?

Garrett: Her parents could have said the same thing about me. But they didn't, instead, they accepted me.

Jackson: Hell I would have too. If my daughter brought home a damn doctor.

Garrett: Honor does not want me because I am a doctor. She owns hotels. I am not going to let you bash her. I love her and she loves me. If you don't like it that is your problem. The last time I checked I was a grown man that supports himself.

Jackson:  Your mother and I will be there in a few weeks. I want to meet this Honor.

Garrett: Bye father

"End of Call"

Garrett hangs up the phone on his father. He is shaking his head.

"Jackson and  Kelly"

"Why don't you let our son live his life? "Kelly asks her husband.

"Out of all the damn places to live. Why did he pick that damn city?" Jackson said looking at

"Because Jared is there. They have been best friends all their life. He is a grown man, you should leave him alone "She said looking at him.

"Not as long as he is living in that place. Now he is living with some damn girl. We don't know anything about her." He yells while pouring him a glass of brandy.

"Are you still hung up on what that fortune-teller told you?  That was a long time ago. That old woman was a fraud.  Garrett was two years old." Kelly  is shaking her  head

"Hell yes, that his Mate will be the one to kill me and my friends," Jackson said pouring the drink down his throat.

"Why would she kill you all?  You have never told me. You still haven't told me where you took him to that day.  When he was seventeen and he came back from the pond. He told you he saw a girl with beautiful long brown hair. The way his heart hurt when she ran away.  You two were gone for hours." Kelly said looking at him.

"That is not any of your business. The only business you need to be thinking about is cooking and cleaning the damn house. Start getting things straight here.  Pack our suitcases we will be going there in two weeks. I don't know how long we will be gone." Jackson said storming out of the room.

Garrett's mother is sitting there looking at the door that her husband just walked out. "I have asked my son hundreds of times where did they go. He doesn't remember. Maybe it's time I look into that."  She is thinking.

"Honor and Garrett"

"Baby, are you okay? Your emotions are going crazy." Honor said looking at him. 

"My father made me so damn mad. I'm sorry I forgot that you're in my head." He said wrapping his arms around her.

"Well, he doesn't know me." She said wrapping her arms around him.

"No, he doesn't. But he could at least give you a chance before he starts judging you. I didn't like that at all. To be honest I felt like ripping his head off. I have never felt like that about him before. Regardless of how much he made me mad." Garrett said looking at her.

"Because I am your Mate and you are feeling protective. Because of the bond we have" She said burying her head in his chest.

"Well, it was a good thing he was not here." He said kissing the top of her head.

It's okay baby, I will kill for you too." She said kissing his shirt.

"Harris"

How in the hell did the Moon Goddess mate a strong Alpha to a f*****g human? I should be her Mate, I am a good fighter and a f*****g werewolf. Besides being a doctor what does he has that I don't?

Alpha Jay and Luna said we will have to deal with them. If anyone disrespects him. I have waited for Honor to come to her senses about me,  too f*****g long. I told her when we were twelve that I am in love with her. She said she likes me as a friend and nothing more. Then I told her again when she turned eighteen. She said she loves me as a  friend. That she would only mate with her Mate. 

Look at them over there wrapped in each other arms. He is wearing her f*****g mark. Hell, I should be the one wearing her mark. As she should be wearing mine.

I have to find a way to kill his ass without anyone finding out. 

"Back to Honor and Garrett"

"Jay, who do you think would do this to our daughter? " Angela asks looking at him

"Honey, I don't know. But I promise you we will find out. It has to be more to this than we know about. They f****d with our little girl's future. She could have been waiting for him all of her life. Until he died, if they had not have had that encounter at the pond that day." He said looking at her.

"Well, I don't like it, one damn bit." She said looking at Honor and Garrett walking into the room.

"How are things going? "Her father asks looking at the two of them.

"Pretty good, Doc is at home now," Garrett said smiling

"That's good. You are a wonderful doctor. "Angela said sitting their plates in front of them."  Each plate has l6 0z Porterhouse steaks and loaded baked potatoes.  

"Thank you, mother. Garrett's parents will be here in a couple of weeks."  Honor said looking at her parents.

"Are you worried about what they are going to say if they found out you are mated to a werewolf? " Her father asks Garrett

"No, I don't care what they say. I don't like that he thinks Babydoll is with me because I am a doctor. He judged her before he met her. I don't like that. He was against me moving here in the first place.  Talking about don't date or marry anyone from here." Garrett said looking at Honor.

"Why can't you date anyone from here? That is crazy" Jay said  looking at him

"He has never told me or my mother.  He started that when I was seventeen" Garrett said as he walks over to the refrigerator. He gets two Cokes out of it.  

Honor is getting two glasses out of the cabinet.

Jay is looking at Angela. 

"Son, what is your father's name? "Jay asks him

"Jackson," Garrett said as he and Honor start eating dinner.

"We were planning a barbeque later tonight with Sonja and Caitlyn. But this better."  She said smiling at her mother.

"I sent them their dinner a few minutes ago. We wanted to have dinner with you two." Her mother said smiling.

"Have you decided if you are going to keep working at the hospital?" Jay asks him

Garrett looks at Honor.

"We have not decided. But I was hoping you would take over the pack hospital. But if you want to continue working at the hospital that is fine." Honor said

"I would love to do that. I want to learn more about this wolfsbane. So if it happens again I will know right away what it is.  Then I can treat it faster.  Doc can teach me everything about that." Garrett said smiling

"Well, it seems that's  settled," Jay said laughing

"Jared"

"Garrett sure did move in with Honor fast. I know he said she is Soulmate. Maybe it's because she is the first girl he f****d.  But she and her friends seem a little different. I need to keep an eye on them." He is thinking.

"Hi Jared," Xaviar said walking into the room.

"Hey man, what's up?" Jared said looking at him

"Some of us are planning on going hunting tomorrow night. Do you want to come?" Xavier asks looking around the room.

"Yeah man, I need to kill something," Jared said smiling.

"Where is your friend Garrett? Is he at the hospital? " He  asks Jared

"No. Garrett moved in with his girlfriend," Jared said nodding his head.

"Damn, I didn't even know he was dating," Toby said laughing.

"Yep. She is a pretty little thing. Nice boobs and nice round tight ass. His ass better be glad he was hiding her from me. If not I would have been on that." Jared said smiling

"Maybe tomorrow we will catch a few of those damn werewolves. You always get off when you are torturing them." Toby said

"HELL YEA!! Jared yells smiling.

"Jackson"

Hell, I knew I should have put my foot down when Garrett said he wanted to move to South Carolina. But that damn hospital made him a great offer. He couldn't turn it down.

When Garrett was two years old. I went to see a Psychic, it turns out she was a Seer. She said that my son was going to have a Mate. By living in Australia I thought she was talking about a friend. She laughed at me. 

She said my son has a Mate that had not been born yet. She is a werewolf. I looked at her because those kinds of things do not exist.  I told her that she was full of s**t. 

The Seer had me meet some people. They took me into the woods that night. There were several men walking through the woods.  The next thing I knew they started changing. I was staring at them as they turned into a wolf. I had never seen anything like that before.

That is when I promised myself that Garrett was not going to lay with one of those freaks. One of the men that took me out was named Marty. Jared's father, they are shift hunters. We killed two of those assholes that night.

Marty trained Jared to be a hunter. Kelly didn't want Garrett to hunt. She doesn't know anything about me being a shift hunter.  She had him in self-defense classes, karate, and fencing. When he was older I tried to talk him into going hunting with me one night. He said that he is going to be a doctor, that he wants to save lives not take them.

That day when he came back to Marty's house talking about a  girl that he saw by the pond. The way he was talking about his heart was hurting when she ran off. I knew then that was her. Garrett asked me to look for her,  I lied to him. I told him that we were going to look for that. Marty told me about a woman that he knew that have powers. So I took him to see her. She is a witch. She cast a spell to break their bonds. The witch also cast a spell so he wouldn't remember visiting her or anything that she did.

I guess it's time to see if the spell worked. If this Honor lady is one of those creatures. I will have to kill her. Because if I don't kill her, then she will kill me and the other hunters.

"Garrett and Honor"

Later that night in bed, after Garrett and Honor had made love. They are wrapped in each other arms.

"Babydoll, have you thought any more about where you know Jared from?" He asks her

"No, but I know him and his scent from somewhere. I have met him before. But  I have to honest. I don't think it's good." She said laying her head in his chest.

"To be honest, I had that feeling. Kyle and Lee said Caitlyn and Sonja said the same thing."  Garrett said tighten his hold on her.

"Have you ever went hunting with him?"   She asks

"On no, I am not a hunter. Jared and his friends are always trying to get me to go with them. But  I don't believe in hunting. My father hunts. He would get upset with me because I wouldn't go with him."  Garrett said kissing the top of her head. 

"Have you ever seen anything that Jared and his friends hunted?  Honor asks

"No, they always came back empty-handed.  Which is strange, once I think about it." Garrett said kissing her forehead.

"She and Liberty have their suspensions about Jared. If he is who she thinks he is. He is one dead-ass friend."    Honor is thinking. "Baby be careful of Harris. He has had a crush on me ever since we were kids. He had hope that he and I were Mates.  Since we weren't,  he thought that we would Mate anyway." She said smelling his chest.

"Yea, I notice that the first morning that I was here. I wonder what was behind his behavior and remark. I will be careful." "He said

"If he ever does anything to you. Let me know."  Honor said

"Okay, Babydoll.  But I will be okay." Garrett said smelling her hair.

Garrett and Honor fall asleep.

The next morning Garrett and Honor had breakfast downstairs with her parents and the higher ranks.

"Garrett do you want to start training with us?"  Lee asks him

"Sure, I have some things to do at the hospital first. What time?"  Garrett asks Lee

"After lunch.  Is that okay with you? " Kyle asks looking at him.

"Yes,"  he said as he is putting a piece of bacon in Honor's mouth.

"Son, do you have any fighting skills?  Her father asks him

"I have a black belt in karate and I am a pretty good swordsman. A friend of my mother also trained me in some fighting skills." He said drinking his juice.

"Good, you know how to defend yourself. But we will teach you some more defensive moves." Jay said nodding his head"

Garrett nods his head smiling. "Okay. Babydoll, I'm going over to the hospital for a while," Garrett said kissing her forehead.

"I will be in my office if you need me." She said 

"Honor, Caitlyn, and Sonja"

'"Where do we know Jared from? " Caitlyn asks looking at Honor

"He has a lot of guns in his house.  Garrett said he has never seen anything that hunted before."  Honor said

"Do you think he is a hunter? The one from that night?"  Sonja asks looking at Honor then at Caitlyn.

"I'm not saying all of that. But we need to be careful around him. Watch him also. I took in his scent so I will know it again if we ever cross him.  I show as hell doesn't trust him. If he is the one from that night. His ass is already dead."  Honor said looking at them

"What about Harris? He sure has been eyeing Garrett." Sonja said looking at Honor

"I told Garrett to watch out for him. If he does anything. He is one dead-ass mutt." Honor said shaking her head.

"Andrew, Kyle, and Lee are also watching Harris," Caitlyn said

"Thank you, guys. I appreciate it." She said reading a letter.

"Andrew recruited Nelson as a guard for the dungeon," Sonja said

"Jill will start working at the daycare. When Garrett signs her release forms." Caitlyn said

"Good, it seems like everything is in order." Honor said looking out her office window.

"What' wrong? You have something on your mind." Sonja said looking at Honor.

" Do you ever have the feeling that something bad is going to happen? But you don't have a clue what it could be." Honor said looking at Sonja,

"I remember the last time you said something bad was going to happen. We ended up fighting those damn rogues and lost several of our friends. So I hope nothing bad happens."  Caitlyn said shaking her head.
