I was looking into the empty room that Cecilia had stayed in. I had just said goodbye to her downstairs. She almost had a knowing look in her eyes when I didn’t give her the book back, and when she shook my hand to say goodbye, she wished me good luck, instead of me wishing it to her. It was sort of strange, but everything had been strange since last fall, when I got mated to Valerio. Nothing had been the same since then, but soon I hoped it would be.
I spent most of the day finishing the book and getting as much work done as I could. I even left a few notes for Isabella of things that had to be done, but no explanation as to why or where I was.
