I MUST GET THROUGH THIS
Sara P.O.V.
I stared at the girl in the mirror in her bride's gown. It was a beautiful sky blue full-length gown with excellent net work around shoulders. The girl standing there in front of me inside the mirror was what a boy could dream of. Was I the same girl, huh? I asked this question nth time to myself but didn't get the answer. I sighed aloud and put down the veil on my face to cover my own disdain for myself.
I looked at the empty room as everyone was out for welcoming the guests and the groom. In a few hours from now on, I would marry a heartthrob perfect bachelor, according to what those tabloids described him. This marriage was nothing but I doom. I will be finished s Sara White and will come in front of the world as Sara Patrick Warner, the name that I disgust the most. I closed my eyes to back my tears away in my eyes on my defeat.
"Sara... it's time", I heard my best friend's voice and looked up. Iris was standing in front of me beaming with joy. I passed a forced smile to her and moved towards her. I wanted to run away from here with all my will but couldn't. I couldn't ruin the reputation of my family and it was the only thing that had forced me to accept that creep as my husband.
"He is looking so hot, so delicious... O, Sara.... I am so envious of you", Iris squealed with dreamy eyes and I felt a pang of pain in my heart. I wanted to scream that I didn't want him but no one was here to listen to my pleas. No one was here to give me a look that how much I was hurt and in pain with this relationship. I batted my lashes under my veil to stop my tears for coming down from my eyes.
"Hey.... Sara... are you listening to me what I am telling you", Sara shook me badly making me come out of my trance. "Huh.... sorry... I was distracted", I said to her in a low voice and she grunted in frustration. I smiled at my friend who was always so cheery and optimistic towards life. I wish I could have at least half of her enthusiasm for my life as well.
"Here is my princess", I heard David's voice and looked in front of me. In his black three-piece, he was looking as stunning and handsome as he was always. Sara handed my hand to him and I tucked my hand around his arm. My dad didn't want to walk with me on the altar and that was why David was here to accompany me.
"Ready princess", he asked me in a soft voice again and I looked into his piercing electric blue eyes. Did I ready for this? My inner soul screamed No with all her strength. "Yes", I breathed out and clenched his arm tightly as if my life depended on it. We both looked in front of us and at the same time, the door opened for us and I was greeted with a big round of applause by everyone presented inside the big hall where I would give away my life in a few minutes.
"You know very well that I am always here for you, right?" I heard David's soft voice again and I just nodded my head as I was so overwhelmed to say anything. My vision was blurred this time and I was totally relied on David for a safe walk without tripping on my gown. "You can do this, princess. Have faith in yourself", I heard David again and looked at him. At the same time, he took my hand in his and raised a little away from us and I followed his gaze.
My breath hitched when my eyes met his Emerald green eyes. His eyes were cold completely devoid of any emotion. He held my soft hand in his large palm and my heart sank deeply in the pit of my stomach. That was it. I couldn't run now. I was doom and there was no escape for me now.
He helped me walking towards the aisle where The officer was waiting for us. I was standing in front of me while looking towards I didn't know where but not at him. There was a storm in my mind. I did everything like a robot who was tuned to perform a specific work. Everything was blurred and my mind was not registering anything.
"Welcome to my hell, princess... you will get everything but not me", I heard his sinister voice and that was when I realized what happened. His hot breaths were fanning my lips right now. Before he could move away from me, I grabbed his coat. I didn't know when did I put my hands on his chest. I pulled a little towards me at the same distance that we were before and said while looking straight into his eyes, "Keep your words in your mind for the rest of our lives.... I want everything but you" The look on his face was what I felt like an achievement of the day.
I slowly let go of his coat and passed a sinister smile to him. He was taken aback by what I said to him and my inner soul tapped my shoulder for standing up for myself first time in my life. I never showed this rebellious trait and I didn't know what had gotten into me but I was satisfied with my achievement right now. I came out of my trance when I heard everyone cheering and hooting for us. He snaked his hand around my waist pulling me towards him. I put my hand on his chest right above his heart and smiled at everyone.
We both came down from the aisle and everyone started congratulated us. I plastered a fake but charming smile on mine on my lips and thanked everyone that came to us. "Welcome to the family honey", I smiled genuinely at my mother-in-law, Mrs Naomi Winter. She was a charming lady with a motherly aura and I loved her. I hugged her and closed my eyes to inhale her pleasant scent that calmed down my tensed nerves.
"I guess that my daughter has another mother now, huh?" I heard my mother's voice and opened my eyes. I passed a weak smile to her while going towards her after breaking my hug from my mother-in-law. I embraced her for the last time. My mom, Mrs Janet White, a rock of my life who always saved me from every disaster that came into my path but couldn't able to save me from this disaster of my marriage. "I am sorry, honey... I am so sorry for", I immediately hushed her and broke our hug. "It's okay, mom.... You were always there for me and I am glad that I have you", I said in a choked voice and this time I let my tears go down.
She immediately hugged me again and I let my guard down this time. In her embrace, I could be the fragile girl that I was right now. I felt the third embrace around us and I smiled because I knew that I had another mother now who would definitely be there for me whenever I would need her.
"Let's go for the first dance, Sara", I heard Iris's voice again and we broke our hug. I took a deep breath and my mom carefully wiped my tears now ruining my perfect make-up. "Let's go honey", my mom said in a weak voice and I again plastered that fake and charming smile on my face. If I wanted to make it through this situation then I must be strong as I was ever.
