Chapter 43: Scan

Blackwood’s home, UK.

“Is there any update Dad?” Alannah asked with a sigh. It was one of her regular FaceTime calls with her Father. She had rarely seen her father look so stressed. But then Alannah knew that her Father saw Bee as family and was growing increasingly concerned.

“No! We have reached out to all our contacts and there is nothing, not even a whisper! She is definitely off-grid and is getting help from someone!” Theo said frustrated.

“From Akihiko? He is always close to trouble!” Kurt growled.

“No, for once he is not! We have been keeping close tabs on him and he is not contacting Bee. Neither is Zoe or any of the local sea gangs.” Theo said.

“Well, she has to be somewhere!” Aiden snapped.

“No, s**t Aiden! Thanks for pointing that out to me! Why don’t you come over here and help? Oh, wait a minute, you can’t because you are playing Daddy!” Theo snapped back.

“Dad!” Alannah said, rolling her eyes.

“What? It is not my fault that their d***s are so small they lost it in another woman!” Theo retorted.

“For f**k’s sake!” Ethan snapped.

“I think we had enough f*****g for the time being!” Kurt said, stopping any arguments before they started.

“Kurt’s right, we are getting sidetracked!” Alannah said with a warning glare at the Twins and her Father.

“Yeah, I think the Twins have been punished enough today, to be honest!” James said.

Theo’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, James normally liked to mess with the Twins. If he thought they had been punished, then it must have been bad. “Oh?” Theo asked.

“Oh, yes! They had their baby first scan today and Priscilla is acting as the Queen in waiting she is!” James said sarcastically.

The Twins sighed in unison. The last thing they wanted to do was go to the scan, but they didn’t have a choice. Besides, Alannah said the baby could be theirs and they would regret it if they missed out. Kurt had said they needed to put their big boy pants on and act like responsible men.

Priscilla had used the opportunity to flirt and touch the Twins as much as possible. When the baby scan was happening, Priscilla had grabbed Aiden’s and Ethan’s hands. “Oh look, they have your nose!” Priscilla had said, even though the picture looked like a jelly bean.

The Twins were supportive and were happy to hear that the child was healthy. But when they had got back, Priscilla had turned up at the door wearing sexy underwear.

“Shall we make this official? It has been a special day after all!” She had said.

“Priscilla there has been a lot take in…” Ethan had tried to say tactfully.

“Oh, there is a lot to take in, but I am willing to take it all in!” Priscilla had said in a seductive tone. The Twins managed to wiggle out of the situation, but Priscilla was becoming more and more insistent.

“She will never be our Queen!” Ethan said and Aiden nodded.

“Well, if you think it is going to Bee, I would not hold your breath!” Theo warned.

“We are still courting until she says we are not!” Aiden said.

“Yeah, right!” Theo said with a sigh. He seemed to had been doing that a lot recently.

Plains of Iga, Central Japan

Bee and Ena walked into the Ghost’s testing centre. Bee was surprised to see an efficient looking man behind a desk. Ena walked up to the desk and said “I am here to registered a candidate”

The person behind the desk sighed and said “Name?”

“Which one?” Ena asked.

“Of the Candidate, of course!” The man said without looking up.

“Bonny Clearwater,” Ena said simply.

“Clearwater?” The man said looking up. His eyes opened in shock when he realises who he was talking to. Before Bee knew what was happening, the man had launched himself from his chair and rushed around the desk. He then got on his knees and bowed before saying, “Master Yamamoto, please forgive my rudeness, I had no idea someone of your standing was arriving today!”

“Well, that is plain to see! But, you should treat everyone with respect no matter their standing!” Ena scolded.

“Of course, you are correct Master Yamamoto! Please let me register your candidate!” The man said getting up and going back to his desk. “Bonny Clearwater you said?”

“Yes,” Ena confirmed.

“Master Yamamoto, far be it for me to question your judgment, but it is unusual for a woman and a foreigner to be a candidate. Especially for such a noble family as the Yamamoto’s!” The man said as he looked Bonny up and down with disdain. It did not bother Bee, she was used to being underestimated by men and she knew they all eventually regretted it.

“Even the Twins?” A small voice said in the back of her mind. “Especially the Twins! I hope they are happy with their little sister whores!” Bee thought.

“Are you questioning my judgment? Ena said, breaking Bee's thoughts.

“No, of course not Master Yamamoto! What gang is Miss Clearwater’s gang?” The man said hurriedly.

“I am a member of the Kraken Sea Gang!” Bee said in perfect Japanese.

The man looked stunned and said, “You speak Japanese?”

“Yes!” Bonny said.

“Fine and do you know that people die in these tests, even when they have prepared their whole lives for it? People from much more worthy and distinguished families than yours!” The man said with contempt.

Bee did not know what came over her, but without a word she walked over to the man and slammed his head on the desk before saying, “ Now listen to me you little pant stain, I am a Goddamn Kraken, one of the most prestigious Sea Gangs in the World. I am also the f*****g Siren! I have done things that would make your tiny d**k shrink into your body in fright! So, when I say I am going to participate in this test, that is what I am going to do! Now, fill out that damn paperwork before I start breaking your bloody fingers, understand?”

Bee heard someone clapping and saying, “My, My! I heard on the grapevine the Siren was being trained by you, Ena. But, I must say she has already exceeded my expectations! But please let Oda up, I think he has learnt his lesson!”

Bee turned to see a man of a Similar age to Ena. He was slightly taller than Ena with a round face, long grey hair that was tied in a ponytail and dark brown eyes. The man was dressed in simple black robes and had a katana tied to his side.

“Hōgen my dear friend! It has been too long!” Ena said, greeting his friend with an embrace.

“It has indeed! I must admit that I did not think I would see another candidate of yours coming through these doors!” Hōgen said.

“Well, you know what they say, old habits die hard!” Ena said with a smile.

“Are you going to stay for the trials?” Hōgen enquired.

“Why not?” Ena said.

“Good, I will have quarters prepared!” Hōgen said before turning to the Siren. “I expect great things from you, Siren!”

“I hope I can live up to those expectations!” Bee muttered as Hōgen lead the way down a corridor.
