Samarah's Pov
"Are you okay?" I heard Zack ask as he grasped my wrist.
I paused and looked at the three of them who were currently looking at me right now, waiting for my answer.
I let out a heavy sigh and gave them a reassuring smile while nodding my head. "Don't worry about me, I'm really okay. Their presence doesn't really bother me anymore."
Owen sighed in relief and patted my head. "Of course, look at how far you've come. Remember all the rigorous training that you've experienced, that bloody training that made you want to die. Those aren't worthy of your emotions."
I chuckled and nodded my head. "I know. But letting them off the hook is too easy. I want to give back all the things they have done for me."
Ash nodded his head. "Yes, but for now let's get our money."
I chuckled and nodded my head as we went to the west side of the park where a few of the trees had turned to ashes while the others were still burning.
When we got there, we stumbled upon the corpses of the Wilsey Pack and the Rogues. The fight was still going on and the one who led the battle was the current Alpha of the Wilsey, Arnold, Havoc's father.
Owen couldn't help but curse. "Damn. Is Arnold planning on spoiling his only heir? Why didn't he train him to fight here instead of flirting?"
Ash shrugged his shoulders. "It doesn't matter. The money is ours, anyway."
"Is your surname money?" I jokingly said.
Ash patted my head. "You and your lame jokes."
I pouted and ran alongside with them towards Arnold.
Upon seeing us, he looked at us in astonishment. "Who called you here?"
"Your right-hand beta, Roel." I calmly answered.
His eyes lingered on me for a second before he cursed. "Damn it! I told him clearly to get my son here and deal with this! How could he have hired someone else to help us?! Are we that weak?!"
I shrugged my shoulders and didn't answer.
However, Zack, who was good-tempered, answered him. "Calm down, Alpha Arnold. Now is the time to complain. Just give us our salary as well as the promised benefits later after we finish dealing with them."
Despite Alpha Arnold's curses, we don't take it much to heart.
The four of us looked at each other and nodded our heads as we handed our fists and bumped each other.
"Don't die." We said together before we dispersed.
I went straight ahead, taking out the two sharp dangers, and fought ahead.
Finally, after three months of training, I can showcase my skills now. After all, during the rigorous training, I wasn't allowed to go with them for the mission because I was still a trainee at that time.
But now that I was accepted by them and had formally become their pack member, I could fight alongside them.
I controlled my emotions and tried not to let out my wolf.
I can still remember Ash's advice back then when I first entered their pack. He told me that as much as possible and if I could still fight back against the opponent without showing wolf, I should do it.
I had just learned from him that Silver Wolf was a rare one, and I manifested this rare type of wolf, which is also the reason why my wolf attached great importance towards mates and hasn't completely accepted the fact that Havoc had rejected us.
"Awooo!"
A black wolf appeared in front of me, snapping me back from my thoughts. I saw its large claws in front of me, clawing right in front of me, but due to my instincts and fast reflex, I swiftly moved to the left and raised my hands, stabbing the dagger I was holding onto the wolf's eyes.
"Arrrghh!"
The black wolf screamed in pain as its eyes were bleeding. I became angrier at what I did. He moved faster, encircling me as, from time to time, he would use his sharp claw to attack me.
He was clearly toying with me. Yet, I did my best to avoid its attack and when he was about to claw at me again, I used this chance and jumped from his claws and sprang up high, flipping back in the air and fell.
I gripped my dagger and when I fell, I used my weapon and stabbed the black wolf's other eye again, making it scream as it wriggled its body, trying to get rid of me.
It wasn't until I let go of holding its fur, since he went crazy from losing both of his eyesight, that I fell backwards on the ground.
I couldn't help but hiss when I felt my back hit the roots of the tree.
"Die!"
I immediately stood up and gripped my blooded dagger, swinging it towards the rogue whose eyes were bloody red, looking at me with hatred.
"Just what did the Wilsey Pack do to be targeted this much?" I muttered while slitting the rogues' neck.
I looked down at the rogue that was trembling on the ground as his blood kept on draining from his body.
I let out a heavy sigh and continued to hunt ahead.
It wasn't until some of them had fled to save their lives that I gave up on chasing them.
Anyway, it's not me who should chase them. I don't want to chase someone else anymore.
Seeing that I had already cleaned up my area, I patted myself and looked at my white shirt.
I couldn't help but feel pity that it was stained with blood, but anyway, as long as it's not my blood.
When I came out of my side, I saw the three of them who were waiting for me, while Ash seemed to be angry while talking with Alpha Arnold.
I walked towards them with a smirk as I put my dagger back in my belt, hanging it around my waist and threw myself at them.
They chuckled and hugged me back.
"It's your first mission. You did well, Sammy baby! We're so proud of you!" Zack happily said while hugging me.
Owen was bolder as he kissed my forehead. "Congratulations, you're a woman now!"
I rolled my eyes at him. "Do I look like a man before?"
Owen laughed and shook his head. "Well, a nagging girl."
I glared at him and punched his chest, making him hiss.
"That hurts."
"Next time it will land on your face." I said while threatening him with my fist.
Zack helplessly chuckled as he patted my head. "Now, now, stop it. Are you hungry? Let's go and eat something."
I glanced at the corpses that were on the ground, some of them had been affected by the fire.
"Most of them have been dealt by Ash," Zack gently said, with a smile on his lips.
I glanced at his stained white suit and his gentle smile, and couldn't help but sigh.
The contrast is too big. He is more dangerous than Owen, but compared to Ash— well let's not compare them anymore.
"Let's eat. I'm hungry." I said and happened to glance at Ash's, whose brows were furrowed, and his gaze landed on Alpha Arnold.
I frowned and looked at Zack. "What's up with them? I could sense that Ash was enraged."
Owen clicked his tongue. "Well, that Alpha Arnold was such a scammer, saying that he wouldn't pay us since he wasn't the one who called for our attention. Tsk, if Zack hadn't stopped me, I would have already punched him in the face for being such an ass."
"Shameless!"
I couldn't help but look at Alpha Arnold in disgust. He had a thick face, huh?
When Ash, who seemed to have been pushed to the limits by Arnold, the atmosphere had suddenly dropped low as he took out his dagger, pointing it at Alpha Arnold, who couldn't even react.
When Alpha Arnold had been pointed with a dagger, subordinates had also pointed their weapons at Ash.
I bared my teeth and glared at them, so did Zack and Owen. If they dare to move against us right now, I would not hesitate to kill them.
Coming back here to this place is really a big mistake!
"C-Calm down... w-we can sort this out!" It seemed that Alpha Arnold saw that Ash wasn't an easy opponent to deal with.
After all, what Ash doesn't like most is those who waste his time, who don't obey him, who deceive him, and also those who won't follow their agreement.
Ash clicked his tongue and put down his dagger. "Better be true to the agreement otherwise you'll know what will happen."
After that, he arrogantly turned his back and walked in our direction.
His gaze landed on me and he squinted his eyes. "No injuries?"
I paused and was about to nod my eyes when I saw him glaring at me, forcing me to tell the truth.
"My back was injured, but it's just scratched." I assured them.
However, after I said those words, the three of them came to check the wounds on my back.
"It's bleeding! Let's go to the doctor!" Owen reacted as he was about to carry me, but I slapped his hands.
"You're overreacting. It's not that deep," I calmly said.
They really treat me as some kind of fragile glass, huh?
I saw Ash lean closer to me and whispered in my ears. "You like it deep hm?"
I paused, and it took me a long time to process his words.
Embarrassment crept into my cheeks and I couldn't help but glare at him. "Ash!"
"What? Did I lie?" He whispered in my ears and bit it, making me tremble as I pushed him away.
Before I could say anything, Zack helplessly sighed and took me in his embrace. "Stop flirting in front of me, or I'll get jealous."
