Baile
“Joy?” Baile stick his head out his office door and stared at his reception area. Abby was still not here.
He groaned feeling stupid for waiting for him and keeping the appointment he’d cancelled himself. Joy rolled her eyes at him, as she read the imaginary stupid written on his forehead.
“I thought you told him you’re not going to be his therapist anymore,” she said flashing quotes at him with her fingers, “Lines have been cross and it was not ethical to be sleeping with you…yadiyadiyada. Wasn’t that what you told him?”
“You eavesdropped on us,” Baile said dramatically placing his hand to his chest. He wasn’t shocked that his nosy friend eavesdropped on them, he would have been shocked if she hadn’t.
“You two weren’t exactly whispering. And my ears are as open as sunflowers.” She put her right hand to her lips and mock whispered. “Next time when you want to breakup with your patient-boyfriend do it somewhere else.”
“Stop being a b…” Baile began. And she shushed him with a lift of her finger.
“Don’t say the b word,” she pushed her glasses up her nose, a move she used to intimidate anyone who thought to undermine her. Joy was Baile’s best friend. They knew each other since their university days and Joy knew Baile inside out, as he knew her. She was able to talk him down from the bullshit tree every time he was stupid enough to climb it, like now when he missed and longed for Abby, his patient of one year and fuckbuddy of six months.
Baile scrunched his brow as he thought of what they’ve been to each other. Fuckbuddy was such a dirty word; they were more like each other’s helping hand.
Agggg, even that sounded shadier than what their relationship was. The truth was Abby needed to escape the voices in his head and he, Baile, needed to forget his unhealthy desire for his step-brother. And they found themselves gravitating towards each other. It had worked for a while, until it didn’t. He started to feel…shit it was complicated. He’d crossed so many lines with Abby the best thing was to let him go.
“Do you want me to call him?” Joy asked. Baile heard the question but he wasn’t sure of…shit…
“Yes,” Baile said turning back to his office. He’ll just make sure he was alright. And then he’ll let it go. Baile returned to his desk and dropped into his chair. He buried his head in his hands. He shouldn’t have started this whole thing. What had he been thinking sleeping with his patient with his patient like that?
He’d been thinking with his d**k, that’s what, and he’d been in a bad place with Modise. Baile bit his bottom lip. Describing the tiff he was having with his step-brother as being ‘in a bad place’ was putting it mildly. Modise didn’t want to see him after what he’d done six months ago.
Baile didn’t know what had come over him that night to set him off. He had arrived unannounced at Modise’s house like he usually did. Modise had chased him away, but Baile had refused to go following him to his bedroom and into the bathroom where he was pulling his clothes off one by one.
“Go, please,” he’d begged. Baile didn’t listen. Instead he got closer to him, burning for him so bad his c**k leaked in his pants. Modise had turned on him then, pulling him into a rough and hot kiss that had him grinding his aching c**k against Modise’s crotch. It had felt so good – having Modise’s tongue in his mouth and his hand on his n****e, pinching and pulling.
“Is this what you want?” his voice was gruff, his movements precise as he pulled his t-shirt over his head to latched his mouth on his sensitive n****e. He suckled as though he was starving, grazing him lightly with his teeth. Baile trembled in his arms.
“Don’t stop,” he’d whispered. Suddenly Modise was turning him around, pushing him against the basin. Baile thought he was pushing him away. He’d grasped the basin with both hands bracing for the rejection he knew was coming. But Modise shoved his pants to his knees, kneeling behind him to bury his face between his cheeks. Modise spread them wide burrowing his tongue against his rim, wanting in. He made love to him with his tongue, pushing in and retreating.
Baile felt him deep, gasping he pushed back wanting him deeper.
“Give me more,” Baile begged. He had to have him. He needed his big c**k in his hole, spreading him so wide he won’t be able to think. Behind him Modise got to his feet. Baile heard the clanking of his belt as it hit the tiled floor. He was finally going to do it. He’d thought with excitement.
“Is this what you want?” Modise asked again. He got closer. Baile felt his c**k head against his rim, so thick and broad. He clenched his butt cheeks wanting him to take him. But Modise remained still. He felt so hot and so right against him that Baile whimpered.
“Baby?” Baile asked when Modise didn’t move for full minute.
Modise didn’t respond. He pulled his pants up and left him like that.
Baile shock his head at the memory. He shouldn’t have pushed him. Now look…
Fuck! Baile groaned feeling the absence of both men from his life so acutely his heart ached.
Baile sniffed, feeling tears fill his eyes. s**t…he was such a mess.
Joy cleared her throat to get his attention. Baile wondered how long she’d been standing there, watching him fall apart slowly.
Baile raised his head, and reached for the tissues he left for his patients on his desk. Joy waited for him to pull himself together.
Thank f**k, Baile thought as he wiped his face.
“Ye…yes,” said clearing his throat as his voice broke on the simple word.
“He’s not answering his phone.” Joy came closer to the desk. Baile blinked rapidly fighting the tears that wanted so much to fall. “Oh babe,” Joy reached for his hand. “He wasn’t just a distraction, was he?”
“I…I don’t think he was.”
“But your relationship with him wasn’t healthy, you know that, right?”
“It seems I don’t do healthy relationships.” Baile forced a smile to his lips. He shook his head, trying to dislodge the negative feelings in his head. s**t, he hated feeling like this.
“You think you can work today or do you need me to cancel your appointments?” Joy asked getting into business mode.
Baile breathed a sigh of relief loving her more.
“Work,” he said.
“Good,” she gave him an encouraging smile. And walked out of his office.
