Rustling on Claire's end suddenly disappeared, and she stopped the work in her hand. She then asked with some confusion.
Selina was silent for a while, but she did not intend to hide anything from Claire. She answered honestly, "Jerome's grandfather is dying. Before he dies, he wants to have a great-grandson."
"So Jerome wants you to give him a child?" Claire's voice was a little sharp, obviously carrying a bit of anger.
People came and went around. It was noisy, but Selina heard clearly what Claire said. Selina could feel Claire's anger and concern, which warmed her cold heart.
Selina had no intention to guess what Jerome was thinking, nor could she make it. But she could choose her own future.
