Tabitha's POV As the sound of their footsteps faded away, I popped to the surface and gasped wildly for fresh air. There was a lingering smell of the corpse in the air, but it was still better than being underwater. I was supposed to be scared, but I laughed heartily instead. I made it! As long as I was alive, I had a chance to make that b***h go through all the s**t I'd suffered! My desire to live was so strong that even the pain from my wound eased.
