Dug! Jaxter immediately looked over at Hayle, whose head had apparently hit the car window. This jolted the drowsy woman awake briefly, but like feeling glue in her eyes, Hayle soon seemed overcome with deep fatigue again. The combination of lack of sleep, a full stomach, and the comfort of the car made it impossible for Hayle to fight off her drowsiness. The man beside her, seated on the other side of the car, furrowed his brow, watching as Hayle tried to find a comfortable position for her head, finding leaning near the window the most comfortable. But her head bumped against the window a few times, more startling than painful. "What a strange woman," thought Jaxter, still nursing his annoyance at Hayle's indifference throughout this journey.
