Adara and I drove down past the forest and I phoned James on the way. “Are you two up?” I asked when he finally answered. “Barely, Kiran, I barely survived,” James said, and I could hear Shoran in the background threatening him. I smiled as I thought back to my own experiences just a few hours ago. “Well, get dressed. We’re picking you up in a few minutes,” I said, and ended the call.
