The next few days dragged on. I had classes on Monday and just went through the motions. I wanted to drop out but my father had forbade it. When I came back from the west coast, I had planned to take a year off school. My Dad wouldn't have it. He insisted I enroll at the local college. I hadn't decided on a major yet but was torn between nursing and veterinarian school. It was just a matter of whether I preferred animals or humans. Right now, animals seemed preferable.
