Tracey:
The weekend finally came to an end; it was Monday morning, and I was already up and dressed for the day.
I wore black pants and a white shirt and packed my hair into a ponytail. For my face, I only used powder and lip gloss; I looked at myself in the mirror, and honestly, on a normal day, I would say I looked good, but these days, I get insecure about my body.
No thanks to my rude Boss.
After trying effortlessly to suck in my Tommy, I gave up at some point to look at the time on my phone.
It was 7:02 am, and I sighed deeply thinking of what to do next, while I waited for his call.
I was pretty nervous and if only I could let this day slide, I would gladly do so. The thought of seeing him again and hearing him speak to me made me feel so edgy.
But I know that I have no other choice, since, like he said, he is my boss. People go through a whole lot more just to pay the bills.
“Hey babe, Good morning,” Sharon said yawning and stretching on the bed.
“Good morning,” I said to her with a smile.
“When did you wake up? you look amazing,” she said after sitting up to see I was all dressed up.
“Thanks, it's my first day; I'm trying to give a good impression,” I replied with a smile as I walked over to the bed to sit with her.
“You are nervous?”
“Yeah,” I admitted.
“You don't have to; you will do great; I know you have been reading about all the stuff you need to know, so I believe you will be just fine,” Sharon said, patting my back.
“Thanks, babe, I needed to hear that,” I said with a smile, wishing I could tell her the major thing that was bothering me.
“You didn't eat the food I brought for you last night?” She asked with concern as soon as her eyes went to the covered plates placed on the stool.
She had insisted on me going with her to the kitchen yesterday evening to get dinner, but I gave her the excuse that I was too tired and not feeling hungry.
So she brought back some sandwiches with the hope that I would want to take them at night like I normally do in the past.
“I am not hungry; I feel just fine, I lied, wearing a fake smile.
“I noticed your mood changed after you got back yesterday, is there anything you are not telling me?” She asked, trying to look into my eyes, which I was deliberately avoiding.
“Nothing, I'm fine, it's just hmmm... Like you already said, I am a little overwhelmed by all that is happening in the past few days,” I said, resisting the urge to bite my lower lip.
I always do that when I lie and Sharon knows this.
The truth is, I was very hungry, my rumbling stomach kept me awake most of the night.
But every time I think of food, his voice comes echoing in my head.
You are currently too fat and shapeless.
I don't understand why I feel so affected by his words or why I want him to see me as beautiful.
I already know he is in a relationship, and I have tried numerous times to talk myself out of falling for him.
But the stupid thing I call a heart won't aid my effort.
But either way, I am going to try and lose some weight for the job's sake, I said convincingly to myself, even though I knew deep down in my heart that I was doing this because of him.
“You will do great,” she said to me reassuringly.
Just then, my phone rang, and my heart skipped a bit as I stared at my phone.
It was an unknown number and I picked up the phone to answer the caller.
“Hello, who is this?”
“Where the f**k are you?” I heard his husky voice over the phone.
I knew he was the one from the tone of his voice, and I was f*****g nervous. But, being that Sharon was watching me, I tried to cover up my nervousness and smiled.
“Good morning, sir; I am ready and will be out in a jiffy,” I said nicely to him over the phone and quickly ended the call before he spilled more fallacy from his mouth.
“I have to go,” I said to Sharon as I quickly picked up my bag and my phone, and off I went out of the door.
I got to the sitting room to see him standing with a beautiful blonde-haired girl; from their standing position, I needed not to be told that she was probably his girlfriend.
She looked very familiar, like someone I had met or seen before, but I just couldn't place where or when.
“Good morning sir,” I said to him as soon as I got to where they were standing.
“What's good about the morning, why are you just coming out of your room,” he said harshly to me.
“I have been up early; I was just waiting for your call,” I said to him, trying not to be intimidated by his voice.
But deep down, I was terrified of him; I hated him and loved him at the same time, and the worst part was I didn't know why.
The girl by his side kept giggling as if I wore a clown costume, but I took her actions with a pinch of salt. I wish I could call her ugly in my head, but I am not going to lie, she is cute.
She is skinny and skinny to me right now means cute.
“You got yourself a good one this time; I have to run now, I will catch you later in your office,” she said, giggling as she kissed him on his lips.
She was about to walk away when he pulled her closer to himself.
“We will drop you off,” he said looking into the eyes of the beautiful modeled body girl in front of him.
“You don't have to. I mean, it's Monday, and I know you have lots of things to get done,” she said, and from her tone, I could tell that she didn't want to go with him.
Such a show-off, like who wouldn't want to be seen with Devin by their side? Even though I hate to admit it, I am feeling kind of jealous.
Hey, I know I shouldn't be, don't judge me, it's just that I can't help it.
“I insist,” he said to her harshly.
“Ok, wow, why so uptight?” she said nervously while wearing a pretentious smile.
Just then, a driver walked into the sitting to inform him that the car was ready.
He walked out of the sitting room alongside his girlfriend while I tagged from behind them like a lost puppy.
I wonder why he had to be so hostile to everyone. I mean if he can be this rude to his girlfriend, who am I to complain about his hostility?
We got to the car and the driver opened the door for him, after which he did the same for the girlfriend.

We got to the office after dropping off his girlfriend at the spa; all through the ride, he didn't say a word to me, and even though I was eager to ask him about his plans for the day, I was also careful not to be scolded by him.
We entered the office and met a man, probably in his early thirties talking with the receptionist. When he saw us walk in, he greeted Devin, slightly bowing his head.
Devin, to my surprise, answered him nicely, after which Devin walked over to the reception desk. The man took that opportunity to walk over to where I was to introduce himself as Philip and that he was the head of HR.
He was very polite and nice while talking and I even laughed at one of his jokes. He was still talking when Devin interrupted him.
“Can you guys do this later? There is something you need to do for now,” he said to me while looking straight into my eyes.
Something about the way he talks to me and looks at me. I always feel my heart beat faster, and I don't know what to make of this.
I excused myself from Philip and ran to him before the elevator door closed.
The few seconds we spent in the elevator together felt like centuries after. Especially since I was standing right in front of him, I might be crazy but I could feel his eyes roam all over my body.
While a part of me liked the attention, the other part was defensive against my emotions.
The door soon opened, and I quickly dashed it; I had not taken more than five steps when I felt his hands slam my back against the wall.
“I told you, I don't want to see you talking with any other guy,” he said between clenched teeth.
He sounded so angry and I couldn't understand why. I mean I only spoke with fellow staff.
His hands on my skin sent electrifying waves all over my body, but I was too terrified to know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
Then, I noticed he was struggling within himself as if trying to fight off a spirit or something. He brings his head closer to my neck and starts sniffing it in as a little growl escapes his mouth.
Omg, he growls? what is he?
I left his lips brushing against my collarbone at some point, and a sweet sensation flowed through my vein, even though I kept wondering where this was going as I honestly couldn't make out what was happening.
Part of my body was enjoying his teasing, while the other part was terrified of what was to come next.
I noticed his attention was mostly centered around my neck, just a little above my collarbone.
His actions terrified me a lot as I didn't know what to do or say.
He noticed this and he paused.
“Are you scared of me?” He asked, and I noticed his voice had changed as I shivered under his hold with my eyes shut tight.
“No,” I lied.
I was terrified.
“Look at me,” he said authoritatively.
And my eyes obeyed his command without thinking, I looked into his eyes to see that the green eyes were gone and replaced with shining red eyes.
I screamed.
