Pregnant; Alvira is pregnant.
It all felt like a sick joke when she said those words. I felt something twisted rise in me as my gut clenched, but I forced the bile back down.
Even as I tried to pinch the nerve between my hands to make me feel something, I still felt numbing regret all over my body. The cheers around the room erupted in celebration of her announcement loud enough that it made me feel deaf from it. It Felt like I was trapped in time as the cheers reduced to whine noise, and for a second my gaze zeroed in on Rygan then to Alvira who grin widens from the crowd.
