19. Athena
"Hello? I’m here for the second time." A joyful voice rang out just as Lorenzo left, summoned by his beta.
I shifted in my seat at the dressing table, turning to see Claudia. It had to be her. This was only the second time we had spoken, after all but I think I liked her already.
She was so full of life and joy and made me forget all the s**t going on for a while.
"Hey," I replied, letting my hair fall freely as I rose from the chair.
"Breakfast is ready. The cooks are waiting to serve us," she announced, her tone full of excitement as she strode toward me, head held high like the princess she was.
"Okay, let’s go," I answered with a smile of my own.
"After you," she gestured toward the door with a playful grin.
I couldn’t help but smile back. She wasn’t bad, really. B
