Angel's eyes open, she turns on the white sheets and slightly closes her eyes. The warm morning light passes through the drapes as she takes time to adjust and finally open her eyes. A part of her has not realized that she is in a different place yet; it feels like she is waking up in the room she's sharing with her cousin.
The moment she opens her eyes, the room is something that she doesn't recognize immediately but as seconds pass; she instantly rises from the bed in disclosure and wonders where she is.
It takes another second for her to remember and her heart beat reduces as it comes into recognition.
She sighs as she places a hand on her forehead. The biggest shock hits her when she remembers that today is Friday, a school day. Angel jolts and grabs her phone from under her pillow.
